I love this film!

Okay, so certain aspects of Two Moon are predictable, maybe even hokey. Whocares? Sherilyn Fenn and Richard Tyson are phenomenal (both in looks andacting), sets are great, and the cinematography is even better. Music iskiller and classic. The supporting cast, including Louis Fletcher (NurseRachet!) and Burl Ives, does an outstanding job!I've been watching this film since if first came out, and I still watch itevery time I get the chance. Can't wait to get a DVD player so I can see thewidescreen version. This movie definitely ranks in my top ten favourites.Make sure you rent/buy this movie - it's well worth it. Unless you'restaking your professional reputation on it, this movie is a definite twothumbs up!

Bubba Gamekeeper

The interesting thing is not that we have another "Lady Chatterly'sLover," nor that unlike its namesake, it does focus on the prurient asits anchor.No, the interesting thing for me that it is set in the south. When thiscame out, as now, the south of the US has all sorts of cinematicbaggage. The husky boys are more animal, the rich boys are more daftlyaristocratic, and the girls more vapid. Its a land created forcinematic stereotypes.So the deal is that while we are distracted by a few nipples, there's amore powerful story chugging along here, one that feeds the Chatterlystory by casting a world in which no one controls any emotions, whereguns and trucks are the first things you expect, and where the largeare small.Ted's Evaluation -- 2 of 3: Has some interesting elements.

Just what I needed..

What's silly about it? I love this movie. Richard Tyson may not have a pretty boy face, but his body is pretty darn sexy! That's enough for me! Just too bad they can't show more of him.Anyway, Sheryl is beautiful and sexy as well which makes for great sex scenes. Women, if you like what you see on the cover (Richard Tyson, Sheryl) buy it. It's softcore, but still good. One thing I thought might of been great was the cowgirl chick and Sheryl together with Richard. Heh...kinky me.

Probably the most holy of unions, Richard Tyson and Sherilyn Fenn (of TwinPeaks fame) ride the rollercoaster of love and passion through thisfilm.

So terrifically awful!

This southern fried sex romp is so ridiculous that it takes itself way too seriously, Sherilyn Fenn is the whitest woman in the planet(her car, wardrobe, and hell even her hair is white.)Is seduced by a hunky carny who has Michael Bolton style hair. When this pre-Paris Hilton deb gets an itch in her white dress she heads down to the carny for some goofy sex scenes that are way too hilarious. Kristy MacNichol steals the show as a bisexual truck driver and a great cast is totally lost in the shuffle of bad dialogue, and unskillful direction.This director made another sex-romp winner with Wild Orchid.

Carrie Bradshaw of the South in the 80s

The pre-Sex and the City generation women luv this movie and I can understand why. Anyway, I just discovered that the technical info on Aspect Ratios here is incorrect. Well, the correct term is not updated.Under the Columbia Tristar (http://www.cthv.com/) brand, this movie is presented in two size formats (a rarity nowadays), 1.33:1 standard screen or 1.85:1 letterboxed widescreen.The one shipping now is released under Sony Pictures (http://www.sonypictures.com/) brand and it only comes with fullscreen format 1.33:1No widescreen version is available.Anyway, I agreed with someone who said that this movie is a great watch after a break up. The last time I saw this movie was in 1989.

Tongue-in-cheek and rather enjoyable.

This film doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither should you.ZalmanKing's direction is ultra-stylish and Fenn and Tyson make an attractivecouple (the film will appeal to both sexes). It still plays like anextendedTV commercial with soft-core overtones, but at least it almost constantlykeeps its tongue in its cheek, which turns out to be a big plus. Cleverending, too. (**1/2)

With only beautiful Sherilyn Fenn, I didn't think I would like it at all, but ...

'Two Moon Junction' is a spot on the river, near April's (Fenn) home, wherepirates used to congregate, and is the meeting place for the final eroticscene in this movie. Fenn was only 22 here and about as beautiful as anactress gets. That her acting is only passable explains why she never hasreceived better roles. Surprising is Christy McNicol who does her usual goodacting job, but here wearing the shortest mini-skirt you've even seen, andeven doing a topless scene where she and Fenn trade tops in a liquor storebathroom. In spite of the obvious B-grade sexy lure of this movie, itactually has a moderately interesting, though implausible, story of a rich,high society college graduate about to marry in kind, falling for a carnivalworker with long hair and who rarely wears a shirt. It is the old story of awoman who isn't quite what she seems to be, and gives in to the temptationof the gritty and dangerous.SPOILERS follow, in case anyone cares. There is a scene where great editingswitches between the two illicit lovers entangled at Two Moon Junction asher fiancee is watching a stripper during his bachelor party. The next daythe wedding goes on as scheduled, a deputy botches his assignment to killthe carny worker, and a day or two later 'carny' goes back to his motelroom, the shower is running, playing off an earlier scene where Fenn comesin her home to find him in her shower. As they embrace, we see a closeup ofher hand, with wedding ring. Will she try to have it bothways??

Forget all the bad reviews

Two Moon Junction is one of the best "soft porn"flicks produced for mass movie audience. If you can't get your motor going with the hot love scenes between Sherilynn Finn and Richard Tyson...you might never. This movie has a classic plot... rich girl, poor boy star-crossed lovers. Very good actors in Burl Ives and Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and great 80's background music...George Thurgood. The cinamatography and settings are first class. Nothing cheap about this flick.

One of my favorite guilty pleasures...

Two Moon Junction was the first Zalman King movie I ever watched and have to say that it was my favorite. Yes, the story gets a little campy here & there, but you just have to love it anyways! I can't get enough of Richard Tyson in this movie...his looks, his quirky & sometimes very funny remarks, his sincere moments. (I personally think he is very underrated as an actor!) Sherilyn Fenn plays the spoiled rich girl who could want for nothing more in life...until she meets carnival worker Perry. She has everything, he has nothing, but in the end...well if I told you how it ended, you might not be enticed to watch it. Love it, love it, love it!

Incredible!

This is one of my favorite movies - has been for years. I own this one and have watched it 1000 times. It is hauntingly erotic - with an ending that leaves you wondering. Sherilyn and Richard are a beautiful pair..I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

Haven't received it yet???

This review is from: Two Moon Junction (DVD) I heard it was a sensual movie and I ordered it for me and my partner to watch. I still haven't received it. Mediathrill sent the wrong movie ("BornFree") and I returned it by mail over two weeks ago. I am still waiting for my movie to come.They stated it would be sent by November 14, 2010.

This Movie Rocks,,,

The more I watch it..the more it rocks! I keep thinking why can't all movies be more like this one. Here's the deal, every true guy out there would kill to be like Tyson, I used to work with a guy years ago who looked exactly like this character, chicks would throw themselves at him (now he works for a railroad, has three kids and weighs 250 pds,) but besides the point I was always enveyous of this guy. Fenn is just too great in this movie, she did a great acting job and regardless what some of the critics thought (Ebert, like he could EVER understand a movie like this, even in his wildest dreams) it had a good plot, it had great sex, it had mystery, but it was done extremely tasteful. This is far far from porn, some say soft-porn, I think it's a masterpiece, it could never be mainstream (for the sex) but it made me think how valuable and exciting life was at that time in life when you had everything ahead of you and could afford the risks and didn't worry about the outcomes.

Underrated

4 Stars is too low for this surprisingly strong film. Yes, it's aZalman King movie, but it was among his first and unlike probablyeverything else he did since, was a very good movie. It has a good,tight story and some very strong performances from its leads,especially Richard Tyson (who really should have become a big star butjust never quite did for some reason).I still believe that it is among the sexiest movies ever made, and thatis not possible if you do not care about the characters or are drawninto their passion. Most movies of this type fail to engage the viewerin the story and so the passion and sexuality suffer, but that is notthe case here. One doesn't need to watch this movie as an excuse forsome cheap titillation, it also delivers as an enjoyable film as well.

Silly but I think I took it too seriously

Southern belle April Delonpre (Sherilyn Fenn) is out of school and allset for a prearranged marriage with Chad (Martin Hewitt). However shemeets Perry (Richard Tyson) who is low class and works with a carnival.They start having sex and falling in love and April's family ishorrified...Basically an R rated porno film for guys--there's plenty of nude shotsof Fenn but very few of Tyson. I hated the film but I actually thoughtthis was going to be serious. Obviously it's not. While the sex scenesare pretty hot and Fenn and Tyson have great bodies, the dialogue ispretty lame and the story has been done many times before. The actingis OK and Kristy McNichol throws in an amusing little performance (andgoes topless too).So as a silly little sex film for guys it works. It's gets a 6 for theattractive leads, some nice cinematography and the sex. Just don't takeit seriously.

Beautifully Done Movie

If you wish to add some beautiful images to your movie collection, this is worth the price. I am a huge fan of Sherilyn Fenn, so you know I'm going to love this flick.If you are looking for a great plot and superior acting, you might want to skip this one.

Lust, sex, deception and the old South

This fairly erotic movie features strong performances by Sherilyn Fenn, who displays quite a bit of skin in the movie, Louise Fletcher, the late Burl Ives, and a surprisingly not bad looking Kristy McNichol, in a tale of lust, sex, and the old South.Without giving the plot away, Fenn is a girl who can't say no to an all teeth, tanned, and long haired carnival worker; befor she marries into an upper class Southern families (or better to say merges the two families). (And she has the nerve to wear white!) Her grandmother and the local sheriff and friend of the family (Ives)have other ideas. There is a fairly hot dancing sequence with Fenn and McNichol (who definitely left any traces of her character on "Family" behind, exposing a little skin of her own; though she's clearly overmatched, bodywise, by Fenn). Not a bad movie, I wonder how the sequel will be.

Classic Zalman King!

This has to be one of my all time favourite movies, 'Red Shoe Diary' is another! Sexy, fun and erotic with a brilliant soundtrack! If you like to watch an erotic love story featuring beautiful people then this one is for you! I totally recommend it!!

i think the script given to the director of the film before making thefilm was blank.coz the end result is utter crap.the love scenes seemlike beautiful lady is the arms of a horse.the saving grace is the gorgeous and sexy fenn.i don't think the male lead is so dumb that not even a maniac wouldfall for him.and it is shown that she falls for him while she isengaged and he is poor also.the is no love ,no story,no chemistry.a ten year old would have written better dialogues and i male lead isjust pathetic seems "misplaced" even is love scenes are shot poorlydon't watch it for your own good
