Movie Photos:
We have taken some photos of "The Road Killers aka Highway to Hell". They represent actual movie quality.
Yes, you read the title right. As a massive Terminator fan, I wanted tocheck this out as it was scripted by Tedi Safarian, who is the man (or oneof them) behind the script for T3. This movie is so bad it has dented allofmy expectations for the new Terminator movie as the story lacks a completesense of direction.Basically, we are introduced to two families driving through the desert. Abunch of psychos follow them and drive past them at breakneck speeds, shortly before taking them hostage. Why? Sure they are crazy but it stilldoesn't make any sense at all!The entire film has the atmosphere of those god awful tv movies (takeMotorcycle Gang for example) and despite a relatively well-known cast, failsto deliver on every level. In the end you find yourself rooting for the badguys as Christopher Lambert's acting is just terrible, not to mention thelook on his face. However, credit is due where credit is due. The lead 'Road Killer' Cliff isplayed with genuine menace by Craig Sheffer as is David Arquettes characterof Bobby.Good characters still ain't enough though to salvage this mess of a filmandto be perfectly honest, you are better spending 100 minutes of your lifecutting grass with a pair of scissors. All in all, The Road Killers (or Roadflower as it is known in the UK) winsitself a meagre 3 out of 10.
I'm a huge fan of Christopher Lambert and I've wanted to see this movie forsome time, I finally got the chance to see it this week. When I first sat down to watch "The Road Killers" or "Road Flower" as it'sknown here in England, I wasn't to happy with it, Lambert looks out of placein this movie, it's not the kind of movie someone like Lambert should be in. As the movie "drove on" I started to enjoy it. I didn't expect this smalllow budget movie to be any good but it's a "time killer" all thesame.Craig Sheffer plays the eerie mentally-retarded psychopath whose afterLambert and his family when Sheffer kills Lambert's best friend, in a roadrage incident. Sheffer is also accompanied with a gang of punks who drivearound with him terrorizing everything and everyone. Sheffer plays Cliff, one f***** up son of a bitch, psychopath. Not a bad movie but if your a Lambert fan there's better Lambert movies outthere.6/10
[Spoilers]So I see the credits. "Chris Lambert & Michele Forbes, and the titlesoundslike Road Rage at the nth power. Hmm! How bad could itbe?"Bad. No redeeming qualities whatsoever: A young boy watches his father dieslowly and painfully. A teenage girl almost seduces a murderer in themen'sroom. People are killed by blows to the head, gunshot wounds, anddecapitation via shotgun. And those are the high points. A dad kills hisnemesis in clear view of his family and about 200 police officers -- andthat's the happy ending.Clearly Lambert hasn't quite mastered English yet; if he had understoodthescript he would have RAN from this film...
This movie is pretty typical. A family is terrorized by bad guys. There'salot of people getting shot up or getting their heads bashed in. But if youlike 'terrorized family' stories and don't mind a lot of violence inmovies, then it would be worth watching. It's not that bad of a film. I give it a6/10 just because I thought that the acting was good and that the moviewasdecently written, even though it was pretty typical.
