A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
This review is from: The A-Team (DVD) Here is a nice big expensive remake that is oodles of fun. Lots of fist fights, lots of gunfire and LOTS of blowie uppie stuff! It is a great big overblown cartoon brought to super-exaggerated but entertaining life.Plot? Nah. These are the standard war vets framed for something they didn't do, so they have to get out of prison and clear their names. You know the drill... There are so many crosses, double-crosses and flip-flops that I lost track. The dialogue is very funny, the situations are absurd, the characters are easy on the eye and we laugh out loud right on cue. After you get the DVD from Amazon.com, call a friend, buy a six-pack....Here are the players: * Liam Neeson ("Clash of the Titans") is the team leader, creative and clever. * Bradley Cooper ("The Hangover") is the handsome one, sexy and funny. * Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson ("Never Surrender") has a spiritual crisis to overcome. * Sharlto Copley ("District 9") plays crazy better than anyone. * Patrick Wilson ("Watchmen") is everyone in the CIA named Lynch? * Jessica Biel ("Valentine's Day") shares a past with the handsome one. * Gerald McRaney (lots of TV) is a beloved general. Is the ending ever in doubt? Nope, but you'll sure have a good time!
Amusing return to the classic series created by Stephen J Cannell ,also here as producer along with Ridley Scott , with an appropriatecast and overwhelming C.G. special effects . Excellent homage to theentertaining episodes with a complex intrigue but following the canonand overemphasis on usual characterization and special effects . A newentry of the mythical series of ¨A Team¨ , this time written anddirected by Joe Carnahan , the creator of the successful film titled"Smokin's aces" and many others ; here is developed the first meetingbetween Annibal Smith , and his pals . While on the lam, they becameheroes for hire, working as good-guy vigilantes around the US or theworld . At the end of their stint in Irak Col. John "Hannibal" Smith (Liam Neeson in the role of the deceased George Peppard) and his teamwere framed for stealing some plates (which they had done, but underorders). The operative group is sent on an assignment to recover platesfor printing 100 dollar bills that were utilized to print a billiondollars. After making the mission and returning to the base theircommanding General (Gerald McRaney) is murdered in a blow up and theplates are robbed and they are condemned to an US and Germany militaryprison . They escaped and went on the run, pursued by Captain , laterdegraded Lieutenant Sosa (Jessica Biel). Hannibal Smith was their chiefand an expert at disguises . Templeton Faceman (Bradley Coopersubstituting Dirk Benedict) was the team's con artist and lady's man .M.A. Baracus (Quinton Rampage Jackson replacing Mr T) with extremepanic to flight , he was their mechanic , but also took care of mayhemand intimidation . The final member of the Team , "Howling Mad" Murdock(Sharlto Copley similar role to Dwight Schulz), was an expert but nuttypilot, and a certified lunatic , but they broke him out of a mentalhospital whenever they needed him for a dangerous mission. This entertaining story is concentrated on known characters as well asthrill-packed action and special effects although there're numerous ofthat too . The movie has unstopped ,tension, comedy , emotion, suspenseand sensational scenarios like is customary development of thefranchise . Spectacular , exciting , fast-paced , thrilling this is thedescription of this new cinematic outing of ¨A Team¨ , film thatreinvents the saga through a perfect pulse narrative that does not givea second of rest to the spectator who is trapped for two hours approx.in a genuine visual spectacle . Humor , thrills , several agreeablecharacters and trademark effects abound and will please the seriesenthusiasts such as the neophyte .The agreeable acting convinces , especially the leader Liam Neeson ,the sympathetic Bradley Cooper and Brian Bloom in a super-villain role, while other players also make a nice work as Patrick Wilson and thegorgeous Jessica Biel. And of course , special appearance in briefcameos from Dwight Schulz and Dirk Benedict , though doesn't appear Mr.T. The moving final amazing the spectator , in which the stirring andspectacular scenes create a perfect union that terminates with anending that leaves you stuck in the armchair facing the formidablespectacle as a privileged witness . It is the rebirth of the series, anenjoyable homage , the start of a new scenario . Fans of the series mayfind much to love , but others will be bewildered by excessive andbreathtaking situations . Thrilling soundtrack by Alan Silvestri , hecomposes an impressive musical accompaniment to the film . Furthermorea colorful and glimmer cinematography by Mario Fiore . Suitable forfamily viewing , it's an entertaining adventure which young and old menwill enjoy . Fans of the series will find very bemusing and fun . It isamusing to watch and aficionados are sure to love it , resulting to beone of the best adaptations based on TV series of the last times.
Again and again, Hollywood tries to duplicate an original theme only to put out garbage. This movie is trash. The "A-Team" are nothing but wannabees who think their academy award type actors. This is why movies these days are just not worth watching. If you think this movie was "cool", than you probably was born post-1987. I'd rather see the original cast on those retro channels. Save your money. If you want to watch the real A-Team, just purchase the series episodes edition from the 80s.
... this is an excellent piece of ENTERTAINMENT and I think they did afantastic job in capturing the spirit of the original cast whilstbringing the theme bang up to date.I really enjoyed the original series but it was getting a little tiredtowards the end and this re-make (which is long overdue) is just whatthe doctor ordered. The special effects are superb and there's loads of laughs andsurprises on this roller coaster action movie. Pure escapism... I lovedit! Roll on the sequels when the A-Team actually get hired by thepublic (where nobody else can help!).With the right story lines, the new A-Team could run for severalsequels or better still, a TV spin off and they could make a wholeseries!
This review is from: The A-Team (+ Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) This isn't high art nor will it make you exam your station in life, but as far as a popcorn flick this movie delivers in spades. Every member of the cast delivers memorable performances of your favorite characters without doing imitations. The action is over the top just as you'd expect, and despite my love hate relationship with Jessica Beil, she does a beleivable job as the tough agent. Fun is the flavor of this movie, and you get more than enough scoops.
My girlfriend has a habit of dragging me to the most insipid moviesever and when she suggested the midnight opening of A-team; I onlyagreed to go so I could squeeze her at the back rows during the movie. As someone who never saw the original series on T.V, I didn't know whatto quite expect. What a wrong decision. I completely forgot about her as soon as themovie started and I spilled my Pepsi all over myself in excitementduring this movie. Every scene is action packed and there's always atwist all the time. This has to be one of the best action movies thisdecade... As an action movie fan boy, I will give this an A+ forincredible.I'm sick of lame reviewers who try to live up to their credentials bygiving great movies such as this one bad ratings, If you lovedTransformers 1 and the crazy non stop action in that movie; then thismovie was made just for you!
I decided to kick off the month of June by going to see The A-Team,based on the popular TV series, which believe it or not I've neveractually seen. But I might give it a go after watching the movie, whichisn't half bad.The film centers on four Iraq war veterans. The team captain, andplanner Col. "Hannibal" Smith (Played by Liam Neeson), calm and suavecon-man/weapons specialist Lt. "Faceman" Peck (Bradley Cooper), teammechanic and strong-arms "BA" Baracus (Quinton Jackson), andtrue-to-his-name pilot "Howling Mad" Murdock (Sharlto Copley). On amission in Baghdad, they are seeking stolen money plates, but areframed for murder, and conspiracy, and stripped of their militarystatus. They all break out of their high-security prisons, to retrievethe plates from corrupt CIA agents, and clear their names. So, the story isn't much help for the movie. It's got it's clichés,it's flaws, and a random love story between Bradley Cooper, and JessicaBiel. So the story isn't really the strongest aspect of the film, itseems a little secondary. The performances help make this movie though. Neeson, Cooper, Jackson, and Copley all have dynamite chemistry, and give so much to the movie,as well as supplying it with wonderful comic relief. But the supportingcast aren't as strong. And Cooper and Biel's love story suffers becausethey don't show much chemistry. And the villains of the film also feelpaper thin, and generic.D for story, C for supporting cast, A for the leads, and A+ for whatthe movie REALLY gets right, the action: It's highly implausible, over the top, and cartoonish, but that's whatmakes it SO MUCH FUN, because it's so gimmicky and in your face(Literally so in one scene that pokes glorious fun at 3-D). There aresome scenes that could be impossible to actually happen, like aparticularly memorable scene involving an air-dropped tank, but it'simpossible to not have fun watching it.Great lead performances, great action, but one dimensional story, andsupporting cast.Forgettable, but enjoyable, so I give it **1/2 out of ****
The movie begins in Mexico, where Hannibal Smith (Liam Neeson taking the part of George Peppard) is about to get a bullet in the head for bribing (obviously) the wrong cop. B.A. Baracus (Quinton Jackson taking the part of Mr. T., complete with "PITY" and "FOOL" on his knuckles) is down the road a piece, fighting a bunch of dirtbags over his van. Face (Bradley Cooper, taking the place of Dirk Benedict) is still the ladies' man. As a matter of fact, he is wedged into several truck tires while some woman's husband is beating him in the face for boinking his wife. Hannibal and BA arrive just in time to save Face from becoming toast. Crazy-as-a-bed-bug Murdock is discovered in a hospital while they are getting BA stitched up. All 4 guys are former Rangers so they bond big time.Murdock is still an unmatched pilot. BA still has to be medicated to fly. Hannibal still chomps a cigar. And Face is still Face. Right after they cross the border back into the USA, they get involved in trying to acquire some $100 counterfeit plates, being moved by Saddam loyalists from Bagdad, and, oh yeah, over $1 billion in cold phony bills.Much of this 2010 movie is filmed in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. It's about 2 hours of action and comedy. Steven Cannell is involved in the production, as with the popular series from the "old" days. They kept the integrity of the oh-so-popular series with lots of action and lots of comedy. There are tons of neat stunts, although some may be pretty close to impossible. But what the heck--that's what makes a movie like this fun! We have chopper and airplane stunt flying, action on a container ship, and the strategizing of perfectly timed plans, among other adventures the boys have.I absolutely loved the movie and will most definitely watch it again. FYI, I do NOT remember any "F" type language, which is rare today--just lots of action and blow-em-up stuff.I LOVE IT when a movie comes together! Immediately after the credits, you will see a short cameo appearance of the former Face, Dirk Benedict. (My son met him when he was about 3 years old and will always remember how nice Dirk was to him.)
My husband and I saw this movie on Father's Day, and we absolutely loved it. It wasn't exactly like the A-Team of the 80's but I really enjoyed the action sequences and Bradley Cooper without his shirt. How Hot is he? I am also impressed with Rampage Jackson's acting ability, who knew a UFC fighter would make such a great B.A. It was a thrill ride from beginning to end. I LOVED IT.
Being a fan of the original show I was exited when this film wasannounced, I am happy to say this film is not a disappointment, LiamNeeson owns the role of Hannibal, Bradley Cooper is decent as Face asis Sharlto Copley as Murdoch and 'Rampage' was great at channellingMister T into the character of B.A. Baracus. The plot is prettystandard; After a rapid paced introduction sequence which depicts theformation of the 'A-Team'. We then jump 8 years and 80 successfulmissions later, the team are in Iraq during the aftermath of Gulf War 2where they are respected soldiers and considered the best task force inthe army, the team receive intel of a group of violent Saddam loyalistsattempting to escape Bagdad with a cargo 1 billion U.S. dollars andplates for printing counterfeit 100$ bills which obviously would have adetrimental affect on the U.S. economy, naturally they ambush theconvey and retrieve the plates, upon arriving back at base the Platesand money are destroyed by Brock Pike and his men from the privatesecurity firm Black Forest, to make matters worse General Morrison, theonly proof they were authorised to act is killed when his humveeexplodes. This frame leads to the team being sentenced to ten years inprison and dishonourably discharged. From then on the narrative followstheir escape from prison and their quest for justice. This film is verysilly but in a good way for instance there is a scene in which they aretravelling in an Aeroplane (C-130) which is then attacked by twoReapers (Unmaned,Aerial,Vehicals)unable to evade them the plane isdestroyed but not before they time climb into an army tank (which wasthe planes cargo)they then deploy three unfeasibly affective parachuteswhich allow them and the tank to glide towards the earth, at this point"Face" tired of being a target pops out of the top hatch and guns downthe Reapers with a mounted 50.cal machine gun, Hannibal then takescharge and instructs the team to fire the cannon in certain directionsin order to propel the tank towards a lake which they hope will providea softer landing. Some of the CGI is intrusive but not too much so.Also Lynch the main villain is not all that intimidating and isout-shined by his fellow villain Brock Pike, Who seems more unhingedand dangerous. The finale is well executed but not too choreographedwhich is a nice change. This film is not a masterpiece but it is asolid modernisation of a classic small screen show which has enoughcharm to make it special, a sequel, which looks likely would be welcomeespecially if it incorporated a deeper narrative for the four wellrounded characters. Not mind blowing, but solid entertainment which can be enjoyed multipletimes.
This movie is what makes people download movies elsewhere instead ofbuying them. You just don't know what to expect from movies anymore.Big marketing for a load of bullshit. There's absolutely no quality inthis movie. Bad acting, bad comedy. The story is so cheesy. Thecharacters in this movie are not very believable.I have difficulty understanding how an actor like Liam Neeson couldagree to take part in a movie like this. I mean, the guy was inSchindler's List, Gangs of New York, Kinsey etc.The computer animated effects are so cheesy that a 10-year-old would beable to spot them. Even if this was the first movie that they saw.Give me back those 2 hours, Hollywood!
I grew up watching the A-Team when I was little. I loved that show. It was fun action candy, the characters were unique and memorable and problems were solved with cleverness and planning. It had Mr. T in it. What more could anyone want? When it came out on the big screen this year, I knew I had to go see it. I knew that the major moviemakers were resorting to remakes and that most of them weren't particularly good. I was pretty sure that they were going to ramp up the violence, because nothing sells quite like explosions (just look at the horrid Transformers movies). I was hopeful that the actors could do justice to the characters and in such a prepared state of mind, I went to see the film. The team is accused of stealing counterfeit US dollar printing plates, resulting in the death of a general in the Iraq War. They break out of military prison to prove their innocence. Meanwhile Face's old flame Sosa (who lost rank as a result of the incident) is charged with finding them and the still missing plates. A CIA spook named Lynch is also involved, simultaneously helping and hindering both sides for his own purposes. The plotline wasn't bad in concept, but I would have liked to have been guessing about the nature of the bad guys more. Almost as soon as the CIA agents entered the scene, they are cast as the foe to outwit. A few things were changed around in prevalent themes. This new version is considerably more gritty than what I remember and there's a lot more violence. The story focuses on planning to a certain extent but it gets sidelined a little into the obligatory romance between Face and Sosa. For the most part the changes weren't all that bad, although I do think that the movie would have been better through the middle if the romantic subplot was cut out. Sosa wanting to find the actual bad guys would have been perfectly fine, but no, any woman in an action flick must also be an object of desire, regardless of what other roles she might carry. *sigh*I need to get something out of the way before I continue too much further. I'm sorry, but however good he may or may not be in the octagon (I don't watch MMA) Quinton Jackson does not approach the level of sheer awesomeness that Mr. T did. This should not be taken as a slight against Mr. Jackson, but merely a note that when the original has an internet meme right up there with Chuck Norris's, you are going to fall short. It was still a decent job with BA's mini character journey from badass to being unable to kill to protector-warrior. I did feel that it was under explored and under utilized (especially when compared with BA's fear of flying).Liam Neeson tends to do well in just about every role I have ever seen him in and I wasn't disappointed, although I did find myself facepalming at some of the narrative decisions. Bradley Cooper also did a decent job, although I felt that some of his jokes seemed somewhat forced, although that seemed more a product of the writing as opposed to the delivery. Also, his near constant womanizing seemed rather at odds with the pseudo-romantic subplot with Sosa. The flipflop could have worked better, were he not introduced wearing a bathrobe, getting smacked around by a corrupt Mexican policemen and making remarks about the poor Mexican lady (also wearing a bathrobe) in the same scene. Then there was Sharlto Copley as Murdock. Whoever came up with that idea deserves a payraise and a cookie. I'm sure he was written as a lunatic. What I got was crazy awesome. Every time he showed up, I ended up laughing and really enjoying the chaos of the scene. which I might have otherwise been irritated at or bored by. Both of the psychiatric ward escapes were unique and undeniably funny (one involved 3D glasses). There was a scene involving mixed up fake passports that goes from tense to unexpectedly all right and then to funny. Whenever he had an active part to play in the scene, he made it work for me. I'd even go so far to say that if he wasn't in the movie, I probably would have enjoyed it far less than I did.If one is looking for a fun, funny, action type movie, I can recommend The A-Team as a good choice.
This review is from: The A-Team (DVD) this item came much quicker than i anticipated...it wasnt supposed to be here until after christmas, i recieved it two days before christmas and was able to give it as a gift on time!!! it was in perfect condition...Thanks! :)
My prereview:"In 2010, a group of Hollywood filmmakers desperately sought a Summer blockbuster. These men promptly returned to the archives and revamped a classic 80s TV show. Today, still living off of good marketing and nostalgia for good television, they survive as Hollywood elites. If you have (script) problems, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...WRITERS!" Dah dah-Dah, dah-Dah dah...My review:Was I ever wrong! Succled at the disappointments of such remakes as "SWAT," "Shaft," "Starsky & Hutch," etc., I expected the worst ("I pity the fool who replaces Mr. T. as B.A.!") I was expecting such a terrible movie that I went with fingers crossed that I would be proven wrong and walked out of the theater at the end impressed! Mind you, Rampage is no Mr. T. but he played the role well as well as the actor who played "Howlin' Mad" Murdock. Oh, yeah; and Jessica Biel was the lead actress. Was it campy and cheesy? Let's just say that they "fly" a tank in one scene; but come on, they were remaking the A-TEAM! It had to be at least a little bit cheesy in order to pay homage to such a classic show. So, in short, the Hollywood elites got the Summer blockbuster that they had asked for and I was actually very impressed with the results. I can hear the film execs now: "I love it when a plan comes together!"
I have never seen the original TV series back in the early eighties, but this sounded like a good action fun film so I thought I would seeit and as it turns out this was really great and better than I wouldthought it would be.The A-Team would normally be the sort of summer Hollywood blockbusterthat would fall into the lines of just trashy fun with bad acting, cheesy script and dialogue with lots of clichés and a basic storyopposite exciting action and special effects. I really was expecting togive this only maybe a five or six out of ten, but two factorspropelled me to give it a seven and I'll tell you why in a minute.First off some of the problems I initially had with the film was thecheesy script and dialogue (though it's not as noticeable or terribleas recent blockbusters like The Losers and Predators), the story isvery simple (though there was a twist I liked with who was behind itall) there isn't really any depth to the characters and there are someimplausibilities like the tank! But suspend your disbelief. There is nodenying this film is a lot of great fun from start to finish withenjoyable action sequences. One of the things I also like and is rarein films like these is that the actors looked like they were enjoyingthemselves in terms of the action but also the script, which though asI said it is cheesy, they take it for what it is and there are somegreat comedy moments in there, and as a result the audience get morethrills from the fun and enjoy it more too.Why I gave this a seven was because first the acting, Liam Neeson isterrific as Hannibal Smith. He plays his part seriously as the leaderbut detached enough to enjoy himself. Quinten Jackson and BradleyCooper provide good support but Sharlto Copley (last seen in Distirct 9and who gave an excellent performance) is superb as the madly insaneMurdock who makes the most of his time on the screen. Also there is agreat bond between the team that made me care about what happened tothem and you feel as if you have known them for years as they actthemselves with ease with each other. I wouldn't say that they are an Aas I would have to give this a nine or a ten to say that, but they havelots of spirit and that deserves an A grade. This a great funblockbuster, which rises this above the average fun trash with greatacting and feeling an emotional attachment to the characters. This is aenjoyable film and I for one am glad I saw this at the pictures. Thisis a movie everyone can enjoy. I left the cinema with a smile on myface. Worth the money to see.
This review is from: The A-Team (+ Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) If you grew up in the 80's you already know about the A-Team. This movie does the original A-team justice.
This review is from: The A-Team (+ Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) If you're looking for a movie that you don't need to think about, this may be the movie for you. With the typical high explosives and high octane action expected from a movie in this genre, as well as a few laughs thrown in, it should keep you entertained. For the most part, the cast is pretty good. All four members of the A-Team play their role well. The only person I didn't like was Jessica Biel, who was annoying and not as hot as usual in this movie. As for the picture quality of the Blu-Ray version, it's top notch.
If you grew up watching the A Team, than you have a right to be extracritical of this movie's characters and plot. And... You will not bedisappointed. Each of the reprised characters are excellentlyrepresented by this crew of actors. Yes, even Rampage Jackson breathednew life into B.A. Baracus. I can not go much further, because I refuseto spoil this movie for you. All I can say is that I kept expecting forthe film to take a downswing. It turned out to be UP all the way. Doyourself a favor. Get together your best action movie buddies... Grab adrink and a snack... Find your favorite spot in the theater... And...Have a GREAT movie watching experience. I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMESTOGETHER!P.S. All the action figures are available now. You might want to getthem before everyone beats you to it. Got Mine!
Hannibal Smith leads a team of Special Forces soldiers on dangerous missions for the military. Their latest mission backfires and counterfeit money plates are stolen by a rival mercenary team. Hannibal and his "A-Team" are framed and sent to prison. But high security prisons, mercenaries, and traitors are no match for this team that specializes in the crazy and impossible. The A-Team, based on the legendary 80's television show are played by Liam Neeson (Hannibal), Bradley Cooper (Face), Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (B.A.), and Sharlto Copley (Murdock). Neeson plays every role to perfection, and this is no exception. Hannibal is the man who always has a plan, brilliant and a bit crazy. Speaking of crazy, Murdock is certifiably insane, but an ace pilot and the team's constant comic relief. Copley does a wonderful job of acting like he should be committed. Cooper is Faceman aka Templeton Peck - the pretty boy, master of disguise and master of manipulation. There's a bit of craziness to him as well, but we get to see a deeper side of him when his former love (played by Jessica Biel) is on their trail. And Jackson gets to play the iconic character of B.A. Baracus - the tough as nails former Airborne Army Ranger who becomes afraid of flying. With over-the-top action, incredible stunts, and impossible situations, The A-Team is much like the original series - if the original series were allowed to actually shoot people. All of the fun-loving spirit, adventure, and comedy from before with a re-vamp of fantastic characters and a fun (if somewhat predictable) story. This was my favorite of 2010's summer action blockbusters. And I was more than excited to own it on Blu-ray, with all of its special features and extras. This edition also includes a digital copy of the theatrical version. Huge explosions, lots of laughs, and plenty of surprises - The A-Team certainly exceeded my expectations. Special Features Include: Disc 1: * Theatrical Version * Extended Version * The Devil's in the Details: Inside the Action with Joe Carnahan * Deleted Scenes * Gag Reel * A-Team Theme Mash-Up Montage * Plan of Attack * Character Chronicles * Visual Effects Before and After with Commentary by Visual Effects Supervisor James E. Price * Theatrical TrailerDisc 2: Digital Copy
The Alpha Team, the heroes for hire, are back. But whom are they hiredby? Nobody. This time they keep running away from the U.S. Militaryarmy justice, while trying to justify themselves. To beat the rap, tobe cleared of blame they need to put the blame on someone else, right? And who is gonna that? CIA does. SuperMan, the flying guy from Kryptonstory with a family of Gods and Goddesses, has more brains than this.Well, it's an action film, who cares about the concept? OK. If so.All the critics and complaints were about the shaky camera technique, the quick-cut editing style when it comes to action. I'm not gonna sayeveryone's right, but they are not totally wrong either. The main issueis Director of Photography and Visual Effects. If you are not able toframe a good action scene in choosing the camera distance, zoom andaperture ; in the fear of looking so fake, then you can only beannoying. I'm repeating: Because of the effort of Visual Effects to beseen more realistic, the perfection of eye-view is being taken away. This is not new. It was just like the same issue with Quantum of Solaceof James Bond. This only fits well with high-budget FPS action games onplay-station(e.g. Call of Duty).Well, it's a character-driven fun and exciting mob movie, who cares ifthe action is only good as play-station games? OK. If so.The characters. Who can say Hannibal, Murdock, Faceman or B.A. isbetter than the original? One of the few things I liked about thisremake is the characters are introduced in a very cool way, instead ofthe opening credits. Best of all is the B.A's intro, with his tattooson his body, Quinton Jackson brought about an entertaining "voila!" andkept the entertainment at high. Quinton was the only one I liked fromthe cast. Liam Neeson as Hannibal is trying to give a new dimension tothe big shot character, his Hannibal Smith turned out to be a tastelesswatermelon as Annabell Smith. Faceman is down too, but Bradley Cooperhad nothing less than Dirk Benedict to play Faceman; sadly the scriptmesses up with him. I want to add a big major complaint here:Originally Faceman is never ever became the leader of the crew, norever his ideas been appreciated by Hannibal. Hannibal had alwaysthought that Faceman is just a great diplomat. But in the film we neversaw Faceman's diplomatic success. Murdock as District 9's SharltoCopley, he killed the good out of Murdock, the "Howling Mad" DwightSchultz character must have been as cool and as funny as Jim Carrey.Original Howling Mad has very unique skills, other than operatinghelicopters, he is a great way to distract the enemy. In war, the keyfor victory lies in the ways of distracting the enemy. But who is awareof that? They talk about M.Gandhi, but they got no any idea about warstrategies. Supposedly they are the best Iraq war vets. It was apromising film, but sadly it's a failure. Finally, I tell you the worstpart: Jessica Biel as army general. When she shouts to order hersubordinates, and even yells at somebody; everyone just chops her off. What a commander out of blue! It's easy to find a remake annoying with holding a candle to itsoriginal. But looking at all those remakes of this summer, this year, and the recent years; A-Team 2010 is one step before most of them. It'sa visual fest, full of action sequences, just between your breathes andblinking. But again, just don't call them A-Team, these new guys canonly be an O-Team. It's not Alpha Team; it's Omega Team.
