They end up doing "it" in the backseat of a car. They are not sure what should happen next, but later back at the hotel they decide to run off together in order to avoid their spouses. When Lilly and Dan run off Molly and Keith decide that they need to find them fast before the news destroys his chances at elected office. Keith takes Rowena and Alan (Lilly and Dan's spouses) home while Molly tries to locate her parents.Molly uses the help of a Paparazzi who had been chasing her mother for years to track them down. They locate her parents in a hotel, but Lilly and Dan trick them and lock Molly and Joey (the pap) in a hotel room over night. What happens next? Watch that old feeling.
This movie is just entertaining, but lovely. If you just want to relax and get a good laughs, I recomend to watch this movie.Bette Midler and Dennis Farina are delicious in this film.
First off, this movie is very colorful which is great. The cast wear some very vibrant and pleaing to the eyes costumes especially Bette Midler. Bette and Dennis Farina are two famous people who attend the wedding of their daughter only to find that they still love one another alot. They argue much throughout the movie. Because of her parents, the daughter ends up not being able to spend time with her husband who ends up having an affair with her father's wife. There is so much confusion but comedy here. Danny Nucci is the papparazzi who falls in love with Bette and Dennis' daughter. This movie works mainly because all of the supporting cast which includes Danny Nucci, Paula Marshall and others do well as the starrers, BETTE AND DENNIS, have very little to do but add moments of comedy when they do appear. Overall, this is a nice film for couples of any age. It is both very funny and touching at the same time and the color here once again is great.
That Old Feeling is supposed to be a romantic comedy from 1997 directed by Carl Rainer. The problem with this movie is that characters are annoying and the jokes are not that funny. Everything feels fake and the story line feels unreal. Bette Midler is especially unfunny. Not a terrible movie but not a good one either. Not recommended. 2 out of 5.
Bette and Dennis are absolutely fantastic in this. They just about explodeevery scene they have together. The young couple that play the marriedcouple and the photographer are likewise wonderful. They more than holdtheir own with Bette and Dennis.Wonderful ensemble of characters.
This review is from: That Old Feeling (DVD) I like Bette Midler more as a comedian than a singer, so it's no surprise that she shines in this comedy about the estranged parents of a bride-to-be who rediscover their passion for each other. I've watched it several times and enjoy it each time.
This review is from: That Old Feeling (DVD) I'm not gonna take a lot of time on this one, just to say that every actor did a great job in this film. Bette Midler was top notch as going from a loving lover to a bitch in less than two shakes of a dead lamb's tail. It was just great to see an enjoyable love story you could sink your heart into that you knew you could count on to NOT let you down.
This review is from: That Old Feeling (DVD) I accidentally found this movie when trying to find something that was just fun and not a slasher type show. I just wanted somewhere to relax my mind and still be amused. If you want just fun with a few twists and don't mind mild adult situations then you should see this one. I wouldn't let small children or kids that don't understand sexual situations view this film w/out seeing it first. There is no blatant sex scenes just implied ones. Worst is seeing a man without a shirt and a woman without clothes but all covered up in bed is the most adult of it all. Just complete fun with great actors doing what they do best....enterain people.
A young woman invites her parents to her wedding, knowing that theyabsolutely hate each other and haven't spoken in 14 years.Warning them not to ruin her wedding by making a scene, they agree toher demands, for her sake. But we all know that won't last long...This is a sweet comedy but is utterly unintertaining and absurdlyboring in some parts. The acting is hideous, the lines are cheesy, the story is boring andthe end is laughable.Imagine "Father of the bride" without any funny or touching moments, coupled with watching paint dry.
This review is from: That Old Feeling (DVD) Movie was in great shape and it was received in a very timely manner. I appreciate the promptness. Thank You? I'm sure I will buy from u in the future.
This review is from: That Old Feeling (DVD) If you love Bette Midler and Dennis Farina you will absolutely love this movie!!! Hilarious!! You'll love it!!!
I liked this film a lot more than I thought I would, being not particularlya fan of Bette Midler. But she was great in this movie. And Paula Marshallwas fantastic. Dennis Farina and Danny Nucci turned in good performancesalso. The script was excellent. Definitely worth a rental. GradeB+
I thought this movie was a riot. The chemistry between Bette and Dennis was perfect. And it all revolved around having a good time. And Bette shows a perfect example in proving that even though you're at the age of 50, you can still be sexy and desireable. She carries that banner very well as does Dennis Farina.
I enjoyed the characters, & certain parts made me laugh very hard -- in particular the therapist character. Topics that are (presumably) taken lightly here are marriage and infidelity, with the understanding that "what goes around comes around"...Spoiler: it does have a happy ending -- unconventionally so, but you expect that with Bette in it. Yay! And I liked that too...
I think I've seen this movie a bizillion times and like one reviewer said, I never am bored with it. It's just that kind of movie that you can sit back, relax and have a good laugh. The two main couples the movie focuses on are wonderful together; but truthfully the whole cast played their parts very well. I just can't say it enough though...I loooove Danny Nucci. He's so cute! That raven black hair, those dark brooding eyes, that New York accent...
I love this movie. It is such great escapism! They all play good roles and although not the most refined screenplay ever written, it has all the stuff that a feel good movie needs. I especially love when Bette sings that beautiful song in the restaurant; 'Somewhere Along the Way'. I adore her voice and what a great all-rounder she is. There are very few true divas that can act, sing, dance and be comedic as well. This is one of my all time favorites for a good laugh and I have to admit that most of my favorites were never box office hits.
This review is from: That Old Feeling (DVD) This is a great funny movie , love it watch it over and over again makes me feel good....
First saw this movie over 10 years ago and it's still as funny as the first time I saw it. The acting is impeccably natural and full of life. The great chemistry between Bette Midler and Dennis Farina takes this movie to a whole new level. They are unbelievable! Some have said that Jennifer Aniston was supposed to play the daughter but Paula Marshall gives the character of Molly a straight-laced, mature aura that holds tight to the character she plays. Comments have been made that the scenes between Danny Nucci and her fall flat, when in fact, they don't. They're wonderfully innocent at first and then build toward something the audience recognizes - the real thing. In short, she plays a dynamic protagonist - honest, moral, and at times, klutzy and awkward. The others play their parts very well and the whole cast should be commended for helping to produce a favorite you can watch over and over again and never get tired of.While it's true that the movie's central theme, namely adultery, is objectionable, you have to appreciate it more for its light-hearted, genuine humor and its carefree, outrageous, and unpredictable nature. In fact, the movie makes you question who the adults really are - Lily and Dan or Molly and Keith - and makes you wonder who's really being true or living a fantasy. After all, it's a movie. A movie that can make you laugh, feel, and think about it is worth 5 stars.
Wasn't sure what to expect - but anything with Bette Midler in is not hard to watch
This movie has me very confused. Although I don't like watching it, Ifindmyself putting it in the DVD player once a week. Then if finally dawnedonme. The plot sucks, but the writing and the acting are absolutely superb.Bette Midler and Dennis Farina had such a chemistry going, it was hard tostop laughing. But you can't forget about the other acting in this movie. Bette andDennis's current lovers are even more amazingly funny. I found myselfwishing that they would be in the movie more, have more lines. Much likeon"Will and Grace". Will and Grace are great, but come on, Karen steals theshow. The show should be re-titled, "Karen and Jack.". Just have a rolereversal, Will and Grace can be the sometimes in the show people, but Jackand Karen own it. And that's how I feel about this movie.Wonderfully funny, just need to get through the borinnng, sloooow, plot.
