Disneys irresistible talking Buddies are back in an all-new movie that takes them for a spooky new adventure. With the help of some unexpected new friends -- Pip, Zelda, Rodney, and Skip, the buddies must stop Warwick the Warlock and save the world from his dastardly deeds.
I have read a review on here with a person being so upset that thespooky buddies is pushing religion in the face of their children!!!!The BUDDIES series is a Disney made series for children and youngpeople, it do not push religion in your face, it's all for who everbelieves in what ever....I am united, a Christianity religion but thatdoes not mean the movie is poking religion in my face or your. If youlook into all movies and TV shows your child watches, you will see thatall movies are created to entertain a certain audience....I am all forthe SPOOKY BUDDIES and all of their movies. Children love the buddies, and it isn't all about religion...just some people want to cause a riotI guess
I have seen all of the other movies in the "Buddies" series and I havenever before noticed an overt Christian theme. This movie activelypromotes Christianity and I do not appreciate it. I do not look tochildren's movies to educate my children about religion and I certainlydo not need it pushed on them under the guise of entertainment. Themovie does have some funny moments in it and overall it's the same typeof jokes we have come to expect from the "Buddies" franchise. I amhopeful that the movie makers will be more mindful in the future thatnot all of their movie watchers are Christian nor do we want ourchildren to be exposed to religion in the context of a children'smovie. We will not be watching this movie again.
My six year old son found this movie to "spooky" to finish. He beggedme to turn it off because he was scared. I found it cute and wassurprised he didn't like it, since he is such a big fan of these films. At the time I rented it, the clerk warned me that some other childrenalso found it scary. In the end, I will say it was a great movie in thelines of these movies, but just be prepared for your little one to geta little scared. I will try it again, when he is older, possibly nextyear. I would also like to mention that people need to remember these movieare made for small children so silly, over acting is expected.
I managed to get hold of an advanced copy of the movie and my 9 yearold was jumping for joy about that, I wasn't holding my breath aboutwatching this movie with her but we both laughed within 30 seconds ofit starting. The production quality was equal to the other 3 in theseries and I was very pleased because of that alone. The acting waspretty over the top but for young kids it was perfect and nothing tooscary, the story line was pretty thin but it kept my little girldancing up and down right up to the final elimination of the bad evilWarlock. It was all too cheesy but these movies are what it is allabout as kids love cheesy and need a simple plot or they get lost. Ifor one will say it is OK for young kids and not too silly but Pixarmovies are far superior and let kids use their own imagination more aswell as letting adults enjoy them.
