Thorold Stones family was among those who vanished three months ago, and he is still stung by that fact. Since childhood, he has always been logical and suspicious, and, of course, hes uncertain whether Franco Macalousso is the Messiah he claims he is. Stone works for Len Parker, who runs One Nation Earth, the organization that rounds up the Haters who stand in Macaloussos way. Soon, however, he realises that the Christians have been framed, and he has been set up. To prove Macalussos true colours, he must band with his own enemies - the Haters themselves, led by Helen Hannah.

This review is from: Revelation (DVD) This movie is great. It really shows what will take place after the rapture. Beautifully written with a change of character with the actors and actresses. The dvd was in great condition!
This review is from: Revelation (DVD) This is one of my top favorite christian movies. I love jeff fahey and my girl, helen Hannah, and her brother makes it comical as well as carol alt. Nick mancuso plays the anti-christ ans usual.
This review is from: Revelation (DVD) moving story about the times coming when the antichrist will set up his kingdom. shows how bad it will be for people still here when the rapture takes place. DON'T BE HERE AT ALL COST !!!!!!!!!!
True, I was given a warning that this was a bad movie. I proceeded atmy own peril, especially since I have rather enjoyed some truly awfulmovies in the past. The difference here is that "Revelation" takesitself waaaay too seriously (speaking as a Christian!) to make up forthe complete and total lack of quality. The plot itself had somepotential. Unfortunately, none of that potential was fulfilled. I canonly describe the dialogue between the actors as tired and predictablethanks to a lousy script and lackluster acting. This only served touncover a glaring truth: this movie features the worst directing I'veever witnessed. Safe to say, it's the worst movie I've ever seen. I'mreally trying to be positive, I swear. Can I say one nice thing aboutit? At least it was only the length of an average children's movie. Istill can't believe I sat through the whole movie! Please tell methey're kidding when they list *4* of these in a series?!?!? Best toavoid this one.
I have seen many of the "end times" movies and in my opinion this is one of the best. The plot was much more believable and the acting and dialogue were good. As a computer programmer, I was fascinated by the way the Antichrist character used computer technology to sway people to his side. If you think about how the world of technology has given us "virtual reality" as a first step toward their ultimate goal of creating a direct computer interface to the human mind, you soon realize this plot is very relevant to our times. This is the only movie of this genre that I find compelling enough to feel comfortable recommending to a non-Christian friend.
This film is better than Omega Code and Left Behind but was stillunbelievably bad. I can't believe how bad Christian filmaking is today,it'sa real shame. The acting was so unbelievably bad I didn't care if thewholeworld was wiped out by the anti-christ or not. All the characterscompletelyoveracted especially the ones that were supposed to be really evil ones.Itwas laughable. Anyone who like this film should really get out more andseereal movies.
This second in the Apocalypse Trilogy is well-done and thoughtful. I enjoyed this view of the end of the world. I recommend it.
This film deals with the issues of who will own you soul. It is more of a thoughtful movie with good suspense. I especially enjoyed the "virtual reality" aspects. If you are into computers or enjoy computer games, this part of the story will intrigue you. Already in our world there is hatred for Christian moral beliefs. It is only natural that those who hate God will try to convince Christians that they are either insane or are not intelligent enough for society. Parts of the movie imply retraining and some of the members of a church are imprisoned and killed. There is quite a bit of violence, but nothing in comparison to most movies. I would not recommend this for children. The main story is of a father searching for his daughter and wife who have disappeared in the rapture. Through his contact with the underground Christians, he learns about God and why these people are willing to die for God. The Christians in the movie are set up and are said to be terrorists. There are many movies in the series I hope to be watching them all eventually. If you enjoy this movie, you might also enjoy reading Mind Siege or reading the Tim LaHaye novels.~The Rebecca Review
and I can't wait to see what's next. Interesting twists to thepost-raptureworld, the mark of the beast, one world government, etc. A little toopleasant of an ending considering the brutal nature of the subject matterthough.
This is a sequel to the movie 'Apocalypse - Caught in the Eye of the Storm'. I was actually taken by surprise by this movie. It is of much higher production value then the original and the acting has improved to that of what you would expect on T.V. It even has some special effects. It is close to B movie quality. This movie starts up three months after 'Apocalypse' ends. Jeff Fahey plays a counter-terrorist expert looking for Christians, whom are called Haters in this series. He does not believe in God, but he also does not believe in the Anti-Christ. So we follow his journey as he decides what is transpiring and which side he will join. We also learn in this movie the writers vision on how the Anti-Christ plans to administer the Mark of the Beast onto his followers. The movie actually takes us into the world of the Internet and virtual Reality, which adds a nice touch of science fiction to this thriller. This movie is actually fun to watch. Be advice that there is some violence in the movie. Of course this is a message movie that is teaching its ministries interpretation of the Bible.
This film should appeal to non-Christians (if they watch it with an open mind) as well as Christians. It tells the story of a time in the not to distant future when the Antichrist reigns on the earth. Christians who refuse to worship him are brutally executed. The acting is excellent. The Antichrist's right-hand man, (played by David Roddis) is really menacing! The scenes of the abuse of Christians and the heroes desperate search for his wife and child, taken in the "rapture" are also harrowing. A previous reviewer showed his prejudice against Christians when he described their views as "twisted". Given the all too common hatred of the Christian faith it's not too farfetched to picture a day when mass persecution of believers (as depicted in the film) will be par for the course!
From the combined ministries of Jack and Rexella Van Impe and JohnHagee comes Revelation, the second in a trilogy of films aboutsomebody's conception of the end times. I say somebody's because evenfundamentalist Christians are by no means united about prophesyingthings to come.I've not seen the first of these films Apocalypse in which a unitedworld government is established and the rapture has taken place. A guywho even calls himself the Messiah named Macaluso played by NickMancuso has taken over the world and it's either his way or thehighway.Christians are not even united on whether there will even be a rapture, but I'm of the opinion that if the fundamentalists are right and wholelots of people that you know feel that way suddenly vanish it mightgive some tangible proof about the Bible being real. But it has happened and it's happened to Jeff Fahey's family, wife anddaughter, who just vanished without a trace. She could never quite gethim to church and he's been left behind as a result. Anyway under theregime of Messiah Macaluso those who are not followers of his aredeemed 'haters' and are rounded up and also disappear in moreconventional ways.Fahey finds himself questioning what's going on and when he does he'sframed for his partner's murder and forced to flee among the haters.Who in his city include former news anchor Leigh Lewis who in the firstfilm had been the first to denounce Macaluso for being Satan.Mancuso's got something called a Day of Wonders where folks will beasked to participate in a virtual reality game en masse. Since we knowwho Mancuso is, it's something not good and its up to the believertypes to throw a monkey wrench into the works. Carol Alt and Tony Nappo play a blind and a paraplegic peoplerespectively and when they play the game they are healed and becomeMancuso's disciples. That's a mighty hard thing to give up, healingfrom some affliction to reject Mancuso.David Roddis has an over the top performance as one of Mancuso'sacolytes who's playing his villain in the best Snidely Whiplashtradition. All he needed was a handlebar mustache to twirl at bothends. It's impossible to evaluate these films because believer folk will hangon every word and nonbelievers will inevitably scoff. Then itdegenerates into a theological not a cinema discussion. The cast giveit their best to inject reality in some far fetched notions. There was a scene that really wasn't terribly germane to the plot wherea father turns in his son for 're-education' because he caught him witha Bible. I took a look on the actor, Darrel Hicks, who played the sonand found he'd also later done work on Queer As Folks. Talk about aneclectic resume. The ending is positively biblical itself. Just think of Shadrach,Meshach, and Abednego.
Intriguing plot, interesting characters, good actors, good spiritualcontent, good special effects...great movie! I don't know if virtualreality will be used this way in the end times, but it's possible. Itssequel, Tribulation, only gets better, but this one is great aswell!
Lots of drama & a really cool sci-fi/virtual reality angle with a dash of horror ... FX not up to Hollywood standards, but the story is pretty solid & most of the acting excellent. Best one in the series, IMO.I really got sucked into this one early on & the sci-fi thing simply blew me away -- I wasn't expecting that from a Christian movie. Hugs, kisses & lots of pats on the back to whoever thought of it. I've seen them all now & I think this one is by far the best in the series, (although it is interesting to me how each movie approaches the endtimes from a COMPLETELY different angle -- which is bad in terms of continuity & yet good in terms of entertainment, because you never know what you're going to get when you start watching one of these flicks; the story is always a surprise).
This review is from: Revelation (DVD) Excellent end times movie filled with action, horror, suspense and evil. See just how the minions of the anti-Christ work against those who will not follow his agenda. Will have you wondering about some government officials and senators. A must see!
I am a great fan of the biblical/supernatural thriller, but quite frankly I found this film boring and tedious. The plot was poorly developed and some of the dialogue excruciatingly awful. Much better to read Revelations in the New Testament. This genre has been done so much better, Polanski's 'The Ninth Gate' is a superb movie, edge of the seat stuff. I also enjoyed very much 'Stigmata' and 'End of Days'. I had really hoped 'Revelation' would be an excellent movie but it is now clear to see why it went straight to video. Such a wasted opportunity.
This film is entertaining and I think that only believers were to getthe humor, since most of it was bible-based. Thorold Stone is anon-believer that had a wife and daughter who lived God and God calledthem to be with him in the air (2 Thess 4) and he has missed themsince.Franco Macalusso has risen to power and a lot of buzz is going on aboutTHE DAY OF WONDERS.A bus has been blown up with innocent children in it--everyone pointsto 'haters' and will stop at nothing to see them dead.Technology will play a part in the end times also as they don VRhelmets that will put them face to face with the Antichrist that will'save them' but deliver them to hell once they don the mark.Stone gradually becomes a believer and intends to take Macalusso downby sending a virus to O.N.E headquarters after he learns the truth. Healso knows that O.N.E. blew up that bus so that Macalusso can start awar with the Christians and wipe them from the face of the Earth. Hedoesn't know that Helen Hannah's brother has received the mark and willsabotage the endeavor, which he does. He is about to die when Helensmashes the computer and the believers are caught, like sheep in themouths of wolves. They sing Amacing Grace which is the Gospel message in a song (check 2Cor 5:21 also a good summary of the Gospel) and escape like Shadrach,Meshack and Abednego (forgive me for my spelling) and shows that God isthe same today, tomorrow and forever. The O.N.E. headquarters areburned down because the heat was turned up too high and the demonopened the door thus releasing the flames. Macalusso blames thebelievers for it (as will they when the plagues are unleashed inRevelation) and thus THE DAY OF WONDERS is postponed until they recoverand the believers are safe for now anyway
The events is this movie may soon come to pass in the earth, of course the format would be different, because the producers/writers could not accurately predict the exact mechanisms that the "anti-christ" would be using. New information is now available as we come closer to the time of the Rapture. Recommended reading for information on the Rapture is: The Gospel of Perfection: The Last Spring Restorative PieceThis movie is indeed very exciting, however, it does not come across like an "A" rated film, hence, it was never sent for a full theatrical release. That aside the plot development is satisfactory, and the Virtual Reality element is quite interesting although a bit far fetched. This is a Christian film so those of other believe systems may be offended by some of the themes presented, but the most significant message here is that not being fully committed to the Lord Jesus Christ will have its consequences in time to come. The real big question is, are you getting prepared for the Rapture, or will you be one of those with remorse and regret because of the hardness of the heart?
I actually thought I was going to watch another movie that was supposed tobe called "revelations" but I watched this anyway. It's a wonder to me how Christan movies dealing with the end of times withall the drama in the Bible can be so below average. Is it Satan that isstiffling their creativity? The message of the Rapture and the second coming has been around for ages.Best to just read the bible than to watch quarter witted movies with badacting and bad writing. Or watch the Terminator. If the way the movie endsis supposed to be some sort of triumph, it negates the whole idea of theRapture -- that there are still yet to be saved humans.
i only rented this because Carol Alt is in it (i really like her). buteven her acting is dreadful. this is one of those "christian"propaganda films that is trying to be "spooky" but it just comes acrossas boring and stupid. and the whole virtual reality aspect of the plotand how it is used to stop Armageddon is just ridiculous and dated. theONLY good part about watching this is seeing Tony Nappo with his shirtoff. sadly, those scenes are limited. thanks to this film (my first"christian" horror film), i won't be seeing any other religiousbrainwashing movies aimed at the family market. my advice is to notwaste your time on this dud!
