Cute and enjoyable

This was a really cute movie probably aimed at teens. It was not meant to be high art, so I'm rating it for delivering a good job for what it was intended to be: a cute and well written story about 3 nice and likeable Texas girls, mostly set in wonderful, romantic European settings, and just a lot of fun overall. All three actresses were quite good and this was a nice afternoon escape film. It was nice to see a teen film that was pretty positive and wholesome for a change, not too old for its intended audience. I saw this in a theater mostly full of mid to late teen girls, and they all seemed to be enjoying it a lot.

Loved it!

My friends and I wanted to go see a movie. We wanted to see "The Art ofGetting By", but it wasn't playing in our theater. There wasn't reallyanything else that seemed appealing to a group of teenage girls orreally appropriate. The other movies were way too old or young, or justnot interesting to us. So we decided to go see Monte Carlo. It was sucha good movie! It was very entertaining. ") While I'll admit some it isa little unbelievable-but so what? It was fun. The three lead actresseswere great! Katie was perfect as the spunky and goofy Texas Blonde, andSelena Gomez has such potential as an actress. I ADORED her as thespoiled British heiress. As an actress myself, having to play twocompletely different roles isn't easy, I give her so much props. Overall, it's a grate, funny, and just innocent fun for a girls night out(or in) or just for a rainy day. :)

Excellent tween and teen movie!

Monte Carlo is a charming movie for tweens and/or teens. Several otherreviewers disliked the movie calling it predictable and boring but Ihave to vehemently disagree. If you are looking for a cute, adventurousmovie with NO SWEARING, NO NUDITY, NO SEXUAL SCENES or INNUENDOS, NOSMOKING, and NO DRUGS then this is the movie for you (and us!)! Thismovie reminds me of some of the 1960's Disney movies that wereplot-wise too old for little kids but still 'safe' for the not quiteteenagers.This is a classic movie about mistaken identity and learning to getalong. The 3 main characters in the movies are all very differentpersonalities but they grow and learn to accept each other by the endof the movie. They also have very different 'happy endings' but seeinghow different they are, the characters should end happily-ever-afterdifferently.There are some funny moments, some thinking 'would I do that?' moments,and some 'good for her' moments. You genuinely like each of thesecharacters (except the mean girl) by the end of the show whether youliked them at the beginning or not.This movie is perfect for its target audience of tweens/early teens andI wish more movies like this were available with today's stars!

Princess Diaries: again

This was a pretty good movie besides kissing and REALLY immodest oufits. It was also princess diaries again: in a way, that it. You see it's about Grace (selena gomez) and her step-sister I think and best friend who go to Paris because they want to take a "break" sort of, but they end up in Monte Carlo because she's mistaken for the princess person of Monte Carlo. It's pretty interesting, but it's a little like princess diaries. and there's lots of "un-reasonableness" in it, but it's a pretty good movie.

super unrealistic, unoriginal and predictable. Add boring.

I only watched it because my flight was 12 hours long and I already watched all the other movieson my other flights.what a cheesy story, what a stupid plot, I like chick flicks from time to time, but this was sooo bad.The boyfriend (Owen) following the girl - taken directly from "Only you", and all the other tricks taken from other, better movies.The characters were one-dimensional, the movie felt almost like a cartoon.The girls were pretty, and costumes and sets glamorous, but this is no reason to spend almost 2 hours watching garbage of a movie.

PG teen movie with a lack of imagination

This may be a suitable film for kids, but the story is lack luster. Themovie is too long and should have had more going on. Basically, arecent graduate, Grace, and her friend, Emma, along with her stepsister Meg, go on a trip to Paris. They get hooked up with a bad tour,then a case of mistaken identity. Grace is thought to be a popularheiress. So she takes her place, goes to Monte Carlo, and gets to livethe dream of a fancy suite, parties, laying on the beach. Of course,she's nicer than the real heiress, and all 3 girls meet guys they like,and of course, her identity is revealed. But no one gets in troublebecause they are "nice". And it has a Disney ending.FINAL VERDICT: There's no mystery as to what will happen. The best partwas the visuals of Paris and Monte Carlo, which are beautiful cities.Young teens will probably like it.

Not all girly good for everyone

This review is from: Monte Carlo (Amazon Instant Video) I have seen my share of girly movies and I am truthfully full of them ...so full I could throw Up if I seen another one but this one ....is not all girly it has meat and meaning it is excellent!! And boy is it funny! A must.... see Guy's watch this with your wife and kids and Enjoy!

Amazing!

This movie is perfect for every age. It may be only the leaning side of girls, but is a great date movie and has lots of laughs and charms.

Enjoyable

This movie is about three young women, Grace (Selena Gomez), Emma (Katie Cassidy) and Meg (Leighton Messter) are vacationing in Paris after Grace graduates from high school. The girls are disappointed when their bus tour leeaves them at the Eiffel Tower. The three girls find themsleves whisked away to Monte Carlo after Grace is mistaken for a British heirness, Cordelia Winthrop Scott. The three girls pretend to be people they are not. All three girls find love on the trip. Grace, Emma and Meg try to help Cordelia with a charity. I love this movie. I hope you love it as much I do.

Won't play

This review is from: Monte Carlo (+ Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) We could not get the blu-ray disc to play on any of our blu-ray players (we tried 2 different discs on 3 different players), so we are returning it. My daughter is very disappointed.

very entertaining

i found this film to be entertaining and funny . i went to see it withthe least expectations .selena Gomez is a good actress and she broughtback the times when we used to admire teen actresses and take themseriously . actresses like Christina Ricci and Brooke shields when theywere teens . there are few deep messages in the film . about honesty ,money . love and friendship .also i would like to say that thecinematography was wonderful and it was a big promotion for MonteCarloarts with funny absurd situations like some cultural differencefunny moments in France and how some hotels aren't up to standardsthere when they are being advertised in the best way possible . . butthe way it develops the story is admiring. all in all i recommend thisfilm for anyone anytime . it is a feel good funny romantic flick .

Fun clean movie for the whole family

All my children love this movie (ages 7 to 15). It is fun and clean, a great add to our movie library.

Surprisingly entertaining

For a mindless teeny-bopper movie, I was impressed with this. It isn't exactly amazing cinema, but it's definitely a fun watch!

Wonderful!

I saw this Movie with a bunch of friends in the summer and i absolutely loved it! It is really well done and I recommend it for ages 11 and up.. But besides that It was GREAT!! :)

What a gay, gay, gay movie. So Stupid

This review is from: Monte Carlo (Amazon Instant Video) I only paid $0.99 to watch this movie, and I want my money back. This is the most idiotic, boring movie ever. If you want your young daughter or teen to watch this, pls dont do it. Little women is 1 million time better.
