Fluff but not a complete waste of time.

If you are not looking for a great script, acting or anything elseworthwhile but would be satisfied with a cute couple date flick, JustMarried is the movie for you. Leave credibility at home, be willing toenjoy the antics of two easy to look at actors (be sure to get a largepopocorn as that may be the highlite of the evening) and sit back. Niceviewof Europe, especially Venice and an oh-so-cute heroine.

Funny as heck!

I totally cracked up in this movie. Laugh out loud! Ok, the story wascuteand some of the scenes were too long, some of it was cheese, but what thehell, sometimes you just gotta have cheese! Even my boyfriend liked thismovie. How many times could Ashton Kutcher be hit, kicked, or havesomething thrown at him!

A sad, sad, sad excuse for a movie

I'm not sure what's more pathetic: the fact that this film got made in the first place or the fact that so many people have rated it so highly. This is a sad, sad, sad excuse for a movie. Has today's movie-going audience really been dumbed down to the point where they consider anything in this movie funny? I sat down not expecting much from this film but at least expecting something I could smile at every now and then. Instead I was subject to 1:37 minutes of what could, at best, be described as dull. If I wanted to kill this many brain cells in such a short period of time I'd start drinking again.

Flawed comedy but some good chemistry from 2 good leads

Just Married (2003) Ashton Kutcher, Brittany Murphy, Christian Kane, David Moscow, Monet Mazur, David Rasche, Thad Luckinbill, Taran Killam, Raymond J. Barry, Veronica Cartwright, D: Shawn Levy. Young newlywed couple, a radio traffic forecaster and a well-off princess, has the Honeymoon-From-Hell when it takes a disastrous direction in Europe-while the bride's onetime boyfriend pursues her. Disregarding predictable situations and some chronic physical comedy that shoves past its limits, this is a surprisingly non-desperate farce to say the least. Kutcher and Murphy give it their best to make it likable. Running Time: 95 minutes and rated PG-13 for sexual content, some crude humor, and a brief drug reference.

Awful Movie

This is a truly awful movie. There is barely a laugh the whole long long way through. Ashton Kutcher has to be the world's WORST actor. His idea of acting is to move his eyes from side to side. A cardboard cutout shows more emotion. Britney Murphy's not nearly as bad but there's no way anyone could shine acting with such a stiff. How a total no-talent like Ashton Kutcher became a star has got to be one of the great mysteries of the age.

Does anyone love paying $13 to see a sitcom?

SPOILERSAll I wanted was to relax and catch up on old times. She is getting married;asked to me to be a speaker for her wedding and, without hesitating, Iagreed. She took me shopping with her fiance, we ate out for dinner, we wentclubbing, we did too much. But when I went to Kitchener to visit an oldfriend, she persisted to her fiance to go out and see a movie and I, being100 km away from home, had little choice but to watch this movie that Icalled shot for shot while screaming on the inside.Newlyweds return from Venice and they are not talking to each other. We thenget introduced from the beginning as to how this all cametogether.Sure the girls in the theater laughed and analyzed the wedding fashions andKutcher up and down (nice tube socks with that tux Ash), but this alsoproves these girls probably laughed at the same thing during "That 70s Show"or "Friends" or "Dharma and Greg" and every other trendy sitcom I can thinkof. So what's so funny about going through a wall when they were slamming onit several times? You did not see that coming? What about when poor Sarahgets her banged on the door? Have you not seen that once in a movie? Oh andthe car? VERY ORIGINAL! You've seen it once, you've seen it all. The actors,Murphy and Kutcher, must have enjoyed this script enough (they are currentlyengaged), to give it a try for it is them to see and nothing else. End ofstory. Movie is awful.

Entertaining and Unbelieveably funny!

Well i must admit although i like good funny comedies,i didn't expect much out of this one.judging from the title,i expected to get another chick flick-romanticcomedy,but i was pleasantly surprised.the movie made me laugh and kept me entertained the wholetime,and at the same time it teaches young couples some very good life lessonsinhow to make relationships work.all in all,very well acted ,entertaining and unbelieveablyfunny.we should have more movies like this!

Funny cute movie! Great for couples!

My hubby and I actually saw this a few months after we got married. Of course we couldn't relate to honeymooning in Europe but it was great just the same. :)Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy are ADORABLE together, and Ashton Kutcher is hilarous as usual! Sometimes his character reminds you of Kelso on That 70s Show! I was very glad that eventually in the movie they showed that the hardships of marriage consisted more of a screwed up honeymoon. This movie just plain fun to watch again and again and I really recommend buying it...the bonus material is alright I guess. Deleted scenes, interviews...that sort of thing.

Hilarious comedy!

The reason I think this movie is so fab might have something to do with the fact that I did watch it on a 14h airplane trip (5 times...), but the story is good and the funny bits are many!Ashton and Brittany do a great job in this movie where they play the young couple that just got married, or maybe it's just Brittanys voice that maked the movie enjoyable. Everything is fine, till they go on their honeymoon. If there's anything that drags this movie down, it's the serious message in the movie (brittanys parents are rich snobs and don't want her to be with ashton, but with her snobby ex) - it gets old too fast. It just does not fit in. Go see it for yourselves :)

Three and a half stars

This movie starts off with such promise, but leaves you disappointed. Brittany Murphy is a daddy's little rich girl. Ashton Kutcher plays a working radio announcer. The two fall in love and rush their relationship, as many young people do, and get married thinking that the fairytale is going to last forever. But, the honeymoon is over before it even starts in this marriage. They go to Europe for their honeymoon, where everything that could go wrong does go wrong. Since they have never really had any real problems before, they don't know how to work them out together and start to get on eachothers nerves, then begin fighting. By the end of the honeymoon they are both ready for divorce.The movie definitely has funny moments, but is also predictable and sometimes stupid.It's worth a rental, but don't expect anything great.

Should have been titled "Starter Marriage"

Just Married is a fun movie. It does two things remarkably, first it does provide a good couple hours of nearly mindless entertainment. There are lots of good laughs. Second, it outlines a perfect relationship, well perfect as long as they stay young and sexy forever.You couldn't have asked for two people more wrong for each other, she a rich little daddy's girl and he stuggling grave yard shift traffic guy from a Dodge and Dodger's type family.The movie does a good job outlining the problems in their relationship, from her father hating him to her being scared of her moods and feelings ( She didn't feel like having sex on her wedding night, hello!) When they decided to spend the day on their honeymoon in different places (him watching the Dodger game at a bar, and her visiting the tourist sites of Venice) you can tell this is where their relationship was heading. Two people, perfectly wrong for each other. The movie featured the sappy love conquers all ending. Hardly belivable. Worse yet, it sends a message that you can be too young, hardly know a person, have ample warning signs that you aren't right for each other, but as long as you two can still get it on, things are gonna be just fine. It's fun to play poor girl, except when you end up in an ichy hotel room, in which time you call up daddy to pay for a posch hotel room. How would that make you feel as a guy? It's okay to love the romantic notion of struggling, until it gets a little too real, then it's time to go back to what you know.There is a term, Starter Marriage, which means a marriage that last a short period of time. The couple moves on with their lives and marry people more appropriate for each other. They should have had a disclaimer at the end of the movie "And they didn't live happily ever after."

A Goofy, Honest and Enjoyable Romantic Comedy

Alot of people see Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy and they write Just Married off as another silly teen movie made for the MTV crowd. Think again. From start to finish Just Married shows the trials and tribulations a young couple face when they fall in love too quickly and become impulsive. The movie starts out after the honeymoon when Kutcher and Murphy are at eachother's throats wanting a divorce. They can't stand to be together, but can they bare to be apart? The movie then begins to unfold when a lonely and miserable Kutcher tells how it all started. At first, you believe the whole movie will be shown through flashbacks and his memories, but that's not the case. Soon he starts at the beginning and that's where we watch these two people fall so madly in love. To say much else would give the movie away. So I'll shut up and just say what I liked about it.From their first kiss to their wedding and even into their honeymoon, Kutcher and Murphy bring realism and charisma to their characters all while exuding a rare chemistry on screen that many romantic comedies lack. The couple have the typical problems: their in-laws fight, they have different ideas about how to spend their free time and jealousy from past lovers ensue. They also have their not so typical problems: getting married and realizing they don't know who the other person is or what they want out of life and eachother. He just wanted a buddy, someone to give his empty life meaning, but he's too clueless and hard headed to fight for love. She wants a dream man, someone to sweep her off her feet and prove her rich, over bearing daddy wrong, but her spoiled past makes her not so willing to fight when times get tough. Will the couple survive and have a happy ending? Before you say of course they will, watch the movie and see for yourself how this original love story unfolds.Sometimes the most exciting thing about love is also the scariest: No one said love lasts forever. This movie goes with this notion and fills in all the blanks with alot of funny jokes and zany mishaps the honeymooners find themselves in. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who wants to laugh, cry or remember what its like to fall in love. An excellant movie!

Cute movie

This was a really cute movie, with some laugh out loud parts. And normally I don't laugh out loud while watching movies.The ending was a bit cheesy--okay, a lot cheesy, but it was definitely a fun show to watch. I would recommend it to anyone who likes chick flicks, or just wants a bit of a laugh.

it's not JUST funny. it's HILARIOUS!!!

Just Married was very funny. Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphey are hilarious together!!! I'm not suprised it got bad reviews though. Whenever it comes to funny movies like these without much good sense, the critics all have a cow! Just Married is a good movie to see just to have fun!

Just... plain bad

I hate Ashton Kutcher. Why he is a star is beyond me; just looking athim irritates me, because he comes across as just a big doofus. So asyou have probably guessed, I didn't enjoy this movie very much. Hischaracter here is very irritating. When his character is in Europe andstarts basically shouting to the Europeans in one scene "I'm American!I know what's right!", I just *cringed*. (No, I'm not American, but thescene just embarrassed me all the same.) As for Brittany Murphy, Ihaven't seen her in anything else, so this was my first exposure toher. Though she shows some talent here, the script hurts her andKutcher by making their characters both idiots. Why should we careabout idiots having misfortune after misfortune on their honeymoon? Ifthey were smart, the movie possibly could have been funny. But theyaren't, so the movie isn't.

Could have been better if the chemistry was plausible

I'll not summarize the plot, since others have already done so... but I cansummarize the mood of the movie as volatile to say the least! This moviehad some truly funny moments, but was also inundated with some very serioushostility that may have been truthful with new couples from the get go butmade the whole tone much darker.Being the guy, I just couldn't resonate with Kutcher's character because hewas just too much of a jerk. My fiance is as sweet and adoring as Murphy'scharacter, but we were in agreement that she'd never put up with the kind offighting the movie incurs. Somehow they end up apologizing for things toeach other, but throughout the film the only one I see making err is him. Again it's a movie where some crazy guy is managed and endured by his lovinglady, but I just didn't get it. A young couple in love has much morerespect and patience with each other, rather than such rampant argument andabsurdity. Maybe I'm putting too realistic a spin on it, but this comesfrom experience. If Tom had anywhere near the sense of humor that Sarah didin the film, then it might have worked and the tone would have stayedlighter. The scenes where they were being cuddly were great, but diminishedby the darker bickering. 6/10

Light & Entertaining

I enjoyed this movie, yes it was poor boy falls in love with rich girl and the family objects......but it had so many funny happenings in it as the couple travel throughout Europe.I liked when the little old lady almost pushed them over the cliff...ha, talk about a cliff hanger! Ok enough right?This was just an entertaining film, lighthearted and fun andafter all it all turns out alright in the end. A little laughter, a little love, a lovely picture!

This movie could have been more funnier and much more entertaining, but just like hollywood they made the movie fast and without too much thought.
