Not a review but please read this.

I am from Sudan, the North .. more known as the Arab Muslim slavetrading terrorists to you. I did not watch this film yet so this is nota review it's an opinion. All these things might have happened inSudan, just like most countries. we had the longest running war inAfrica millions of people died on both sides. but if you want to knowwho started it in a nut Shel it was the British. all this years of uskilling each other over bullshit both sides backed by religion fanaticsand political monopoly players. all of a sudden Sudan is the center ofthe world Darfor, the South, The Arabs (who are black by the way) whyis the media bringing it out now? when we cant even respond to theworld back with? I'm sure its a good film because with good music andvery emotional since they want you to see how the north mistreated thesouth how the Arab Muslims are Evil plus some white guys and uncletoms. just like Machine Gun Preacher .. two films about Sudan in oneyear .. see what I mean? but maybe am over sensitive and the film isamazing and saying nothing of the above .. but I still wanted to writethis.

More like an underpaid maid than a slave

I gave this movie a 3 for two reasons. One is because I liked theAfrica scenes, and the other because the lead actress was quite good.Other than these two things, the movie has little to offer. From thetitle I would expect to see a girl getting kidnapped, and then goingthrough some terrible situations. Instead, I saw her being spanked oncebecause she played with the Master's kids, and then being sent to livein London like a housewife. Oh yes, once they locked her inside herroom for punishment, so after all these hardships, one night, shedecided to punch in the alarm code, open the door, and leave the housefor good. OK, I do not say that the living conditions were nice, but itis not worst than the living conditions of thousands of Europeansnowadays. The word Slave suggests a huge amount of mistreatment. Verbalabuse. Physical abuse. Rape. We see the minimal amount of all thesehere. The title would be more accurate if it were "I was kidnapped andforced to be a Nanny". Anyways, this movie is OK to watch, but if youmissed don't worry about it...
