Awesome!!

This is one of the best movies i have ever seen! It is funny and enjoyable! Bettie Middler is wicked in this movie and the quarels of the three witches are very funny to watch! I reccomand it to everyone! It will give you a great time!

I watch this movie several times a year, not just at Halloween. I only hope that they someday release the soundtrack for this one. I would definately buy that too.

3 witches, a cat who is a guy, and 3 kids all on Halloween only Disney could do it!

I really like this film Bette is great as the lead witch especiallywith her catchy rendition of "I Put A Spell On you" does anyone knowwhere i can buy it!?! Yes the story line is a bit childish but forheaven sakes it's meant to be it's a Disney film, thats one of thereasons i love it, it's a bit more grown up than the animated classics,but it has some great jokes and if your a bit over sensitive like meget the box of tissues ready to dry those tears! the songs don'tdominate the film like many Disney films and its a bit of all roundfamily fun definitely something the whole family can enjoy! the wholecoming of age thing for the pre-teens is also covered well, it's just agreat movie!

The 2nd Best(real)Disney film yet!!!!

I absolutely luv this movie.It wuz the best disney film yet(n my mind) until FREAKY FRIDAY wuz released!I so recommend this movie 2 n-e-1 who has an imagination!Well thats my review.

Hocus PocusIf you belive in whitches than this is the movie for you.This movie is about these three whitches that are brought back to life because a virgin lite the black flame candle.Thaw they have been gone 300 years.It is all hollows eve and the only way the whitches dont turn to dust is if they suck the lives out of the little children of salem.my opinion on this movie is that it is real good.It is like it could happen in real life.It can be a little scary in some parts of the movie.I think that it is a real cool movie.I would recomend this movie to 4th grade and up.Why because it can be a little scary in some parts like now........BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.Ha Ha I scared you I scared you

its my favourite film

this is one of the greatest films ever made i have it on DVD and ithink its amazing every time i watch it i cry at the end its really isbrilliant!!!! i suggest watching it to see for your self to find outwhat the films really about. i have recommended this film to all of myfriends and family i have even had them round to watch it and allcomments they have made about the film have been positive. i don'tunderstand how anyone can doubt the film its just amazing like i saidwatch it!!! my personal opinion will differ to other but this film hasso many laughs in it it has laughs for the children and laughs for theadults. please watch it and see for your self what I'm talking about!!!

The critics couldn't be more off-target!

While I've been enjoying this film for years, I only recently decided toread some reviews for it, and am shocked! The truth is, this film is awonderfully comical and charming tale of three Salem witches that areresurrected by a teenage boy, who, with the help of his little sister andlove interest, must try to stop them from stealing the souls of children.This movie really sparkles in the representations of the witches, who areall cast perfectly. Bette Midler provides for a hilarious and almostfrightening Winifred (the leader), Sarah Jessica Parker shines as thesexy,dim-witted Sarah, and Kathy Najimy is marvelous as the funny, perky Mary.What makes the film even better is that there are two stunning musicalnumbers--Midler's delightful "I Put a Spell on You" and Parker's hypnotic"Come, Little Children." Ignore the critics, "Hocus Pocus" is perfect notonly for Halloween, but for any time of the year!

SPOOKY FUN FOR EVERYONE!

In the Halloween family movie dept. I'll give this one five stars because it has something for everyone in the family. For me, it has Sara Jessica Parker. Since this one came out in 1993 her character "Sara" has been one of best all time hot witches. Theres a scene that I enjoy specifically where she flies around the town on her broom singing a spell that she uses to lair children into her "garden." In an another equally enjoyable scene a dirty bus driver lets her drive the bus while sitting on his lap. Some nice touches.Overall the movie has good characters all around. The teenage boy, who haphazardly ressurects the witches from a three hundred year death (Salem witch trials) due to the fact (hillariously mentioned several times) that he is a virgin. Don't worry, it's subtle enough to fly over little kids heads... His sister, who is played by a pretty young Thora Birch, who you may remember from movies like Ghost World and American Beauty. The parents are pretty hip... mom goes to a Halloween party dressed up like "cones era" Madonna, and then of course you have the witches... Bette Midler, the other chick, and Sarah Jessica Parker,,, who, if you weren't paying attention, is a total fox. I dig the scene where the kid and his girlfriend check to see if his sisters in her bed, only to find Sara the witch laying in there instead... Happy Halloween!Overall this movie makes good comic use of the story line. For instance, the scene where the witches can smell children, but can't see any, even though they are swarming the streets (they are "tricked" by the Halloween costumes, clever!) and the movie moves quickly enough along so that no one gets bored... Glad I dug this one out!

It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!

I loved this movie! I've been watching it since 2002 when I was 7 and now I'm 11 and I still watch it. It's so funny and Binks as a kitty is cute. I really like it and mom and I watch it every October. I was a witch one Halloween and I acted a bit like them. This year I am a pirate.

Funny and creepy

I liked this movie. Midler, Parker, and Najimy did a hilarious job. I loved watching the three 17th century gals try to understand modern living.

Perfect Halloween film for kids

I absolutely love this movie and must have literally seen it 100 times. It's about 3 witches that come back to life for one night after 300 years. In order to survive past dawn, they must suck the lives out of the children (not like a vampire though) using a potion from their much prized book of spells. But the past 300 years have brought on many changes for them that they have to overcome in order to get the book back from 3 kids to make the potion that makes the children susceptible to having the life sucked out of them. In the end all, good overcomes evil.

I'M ANTI-WITCHCRAFT, BUT THIS IS GREAT

witchcraft shouldn't be made a joke out of, but this movie is still very enjoyable to watch even 12 years after its release. a must see.

Hocus Pocus,trick or treat?...I say TREAT! ! !

I first saw this movie when I was Twelve and I've been hooked ever since.I haven't met many people that had any negative things to say about this film,most everyone I've shown this movie to has liked or loved it. I do agree with most people posting here,this movie is very underrated compared to a lot of films in it's genre.

Best Movie Of All TIME!!!!!

This (For me)is the best movie of all time. I know it by heart and watch is at least once a day and I'm not tired of it. I've seen this movie well over 1000 times and I just love it. Imight be the biggest fan of this movie because no one else seems to love this movie as much as I do. It beats out any movie ever made, no questions asked!!!

Great Fun ! ! !

This movie is such a nice fantasy. To me it seemed more like a comedy, especially funny was Bette Midler! I also liked the song the blond "Witch" sang. They are so funny. I think this is a movie worth watching because it's funny and it has a great story line that it follows. The beggining of the movie was kind of sad but the rest of it is so funny. (Why did the "Witches" have to die?)

The Best Disney Film Ever!!!

Hocus Pocus is a funny, and entertaining movie. I couldn't find a bettermovie than this. The best PG movie and Disney movie ever made. I thought itwould be a boring witch movie like every other witch movie but I was wrong.It's the nuttiest movie and funniest movie ever made. This is my favoritemovie. Ill give 3 Thumbs up (if I had 3 Thumbs) and **** out of****.
