everything a horror fan could wish for in a film

i live in the uk and i wated an incredible 9 months to watch this well waited for film.There was not a dissapointing moment in the film except when michael myers's sister laurie strode(jamie lee curtis) unfortunatley dies.laurie strode was planning to rid her evil brother once and for all in halloween h20 and she thought she had but she was wrong as michael myers did'nt in fact die it was a paramedic.So because of this poor laurie is now incarcerated in a northern california mental home for decapitating the innocent man.so in the unbeatable opening of this movie michael once again returns for laurie!.but laurie has also been waiting for this moment for 3 years and so one last time they both meet this time inches apart.after the final showdown and a little prologue michael returns home to haddonfeild where the origanal was set.in haddonfield 6 college studentsbill(thomas ian nicholas) jen(katee sachoff)sara (bianca kajlich)rudy (sean patrick thomas) jim(luke kirby)-who is the only boring character but has a really good death and donna(daisy mckrackin) have been offered to spend the night inside the childhood home of michael myers unaware that hes returned home!.the money making freddie harris(busta rhymes) and his co worker nora winston(tyra banks) have SET up a live broadcast with cameras all through-out the house as well as tiny cameras on the 6 teens heads.halloween 2001 arrives and the 6 enter the stage set house to search for clues as to why michael went mad!!.But michael decides to crash the party.it becomes a race against time to make it out of the house alive!!!ILL TELL YOU THAT ONLY 2 PEOPLE DO!!!!!THE FILM IS STRONG ALL THE WAY UP TO THE END IN WHICH IT GIVES YOU THE BIGGEST JUMP OF THEM ALLCANT WAIT FOR HALLOWEEN 9

DONT HATE ON IT!

Okay, I am the HUGEST halloween fan ever! And I was so amazed upon this movie! Dont hate on Ressurection because of how its done. I read a Review and it said somthing about DUM Teenagers...and how it ruins the plot, well EVERY Halloween movie there is (execpt for H2O) has teenagers. Am I right? of coarse I Am! This is a whole new millenium and mostly only teens watch it so this movie was THE BOMB and it was well written! I loveee this movie and every other halloween movies (EXECPT FOR 3)!! :-D

Why are they still making these??!!

It was just simply because it was titled 'Halloween' that I decided to showrespect for John Carpenter's excellent opening 2 films. Boy, was Idissapointed. For a start I wondered how the hell they were gonna makeserial killer Michael Myers come back for another killing spree when he wasdecapitated in H20.I thought that they actually would have had him walking around with a bit ofglue stuck on his neck to signify him sticking his own head back on!. Thatprobably would have been more plausible than the explanation of his comeback. He dressed up in a paramedic's outfit, then just so happened to crushthe innocent man's larynx?!. Gimme a break!. Bit of a coincidence then thatthe innocent paramedic dressed up in myers' clothes and mask would answer tothe name 'Michael' when Laurie Strode speaks to him near the end ofH20.What mainly lets the film down are the terrible actors. They are just sotypical of a horror flick nowadays. In the Myers house we get theusual:1. Doing drugs - means they are gonna die2. Sex scene - means they are gonna die3. A typical hero (Busta Rhymes) who just happens to be a BruceLeeand down right stupidity for going back there.Busta Rhymes is an absolute joke in the movie, every other word that he saysis a swear word, what is the need?. As for him doing a Jackie Chan andkickin' Myers' ass, well as I watched it with my brother, we both erupted inlaughter. It's hilarious.I've already voted for this film and yes, you've guessed it, gave it a 1rating. I am a die hard fan of the 'Halloween' series but could simply couldnot rate this film at all. Why Jamie Lee Curtis wasted her time doing thisis beyond me, she must be buying a new house in real life or something andneeds a bit of extra cash.Hopefully this is the last we see of Busta Rhymes (except if it's in acomedy, which, after all, is the way I look at this film, as ajoke)Rating 1/10. Trash.

Horribly Insulting

I cannot begin to describe how much this movie sucked. It's insulting to think they could kill off Jamie Lee Curtis the way they did - she sets up an elaborate trap for Michael and catches him and then just stands there a foot away from his arms as if he's paralyzed or something - you'd think that she would have learned something through all these years of being chased by a psychotic serial killer. STUPID! The rest of the movie is a complete joke. The acting sucks, which is easy to get past sometimes but in this film you don't give a crap about anyone. The characters are stupid. Stupid stupid stupid! By the end of the movie if you're not cheering whenever Michael kills someone there's something wrong with you. I was especially disappointed when they brought Freddy (Busta) back - he is so annoying. They should have left him dead. The movie would have been scores better if Michael had succeeded in killing EVERYONE in the house. See this only if you're in the mood to laugh...

*CAUTION: SPOILERS"*What the hell is going on here? How does this happen? Halloween: Ressurrection left me completely miffed and totally dissapointed.I am a huge fan of the franchise and I will even defend the past couple ofinstallments.... they weren't that bad.... not worth trashing, thats forsure.This one, I am afraid is worth trashing! I was excited at the fact that RickRosenthal came to the helm, seeing that his direction in Halloween 2 was anexceptional feat in the heels of John Carpenter.This movie ruins everything! My understanding of the whole Halloween plot isthat Michael Myers stops at nothing to rid the world of any bloodline thatis his... ie Family. So they kill Lorie Strode within the first 10minutes..... doesnt that leave her son, the Josh Hartnet character from theprevious movie (H20) as the only one left? But there is no sign of him inthis movie! Michael Myers has suddenly adopted a new purpose, to randomlykill anyone at any time, for any purpose. No no no, this is all wrong! Itdestroys all credibility!What a let down. They are bound to make more sequels (one is in productionas I write)... and I really hope they can redeem themselves from this graveerror. Give us fans at least SOME credit! If Michael Myers has no one leftto kill... then let him rest in peace!I give this doosy 1 out of 10.

Resurrection the franchise

Ok this film was great it had an amazing soundtrack that i actually bought the sound in the film were amazing, i liked the idea of a reality show at micheal myers' house with no real way of getting out it added to the suspense this film was Awsome

Ok, I was really disappointed after the first scene in this movie. Laurieissupposed to be the one person that Michael does not kill and they starteditoff with that? If it were ever going to happen, I would have been muchhappier if they died together, once and for all in the last movie of theseries. They did actually have me biting my nails and saying things like"No, no, he's in the hallway!!" at the characters and the body of the moviewasn't all that bad. But with Laurie gone and this obvously NOT being thelast movie as proven by the final scene, I find myself incapable of beingthroughly happy with it. Nice try, guys, but I don't likeit.

"Halloween" is Comedy!

Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) finally gets it. When Michael Myers returns home back in Haddonfield, Illinois, after a hard day's work, he finds that his house has been taken over by a group of contestants on a reality t.v. show. It's like "Fear," but in Michael Myers's house. No trespassing! Of course Busta Rhymes is the producer of the show and gets into the action by using his Bruce Lee skills. Instant messaging has never been so useful! "Halloween: Resurrection" is a funny sequel with Rhymes giving an Oscar-worthy peformance and Michael Myers will forever be the Boogeyman. Oh yeah, how did he survive from "Halloween: H20?" You'll have to see it and once you do, you'll think, genius!

OUTRAGED!

SPOILERS*****ok first of all who in the world wanted another halloweenmovie! the last one was pretty good and showed he died! I have to admit ihaventd seen all of the movies but i'll seen great deal of them! I havetosay whoever directed this movie should be banished from hollywood FOREVER!Where to start! fist off the whole let's kill jamie lee thing just sopeoplewll come and see the film was not a great idea and i bet if they doanothersequel, which they will probally do she will be back! OK second theactors!the blonde wannbe brittany murphay should have been killed first! i wantedto strangler her myself! Third the whole camera angle thing, (blair witchtype) bugged the crap out of me! the rest of the actors were so horrible!(for all you people who say tyra banks sucked she wasn't even in the movieand she didn't have much to work with) fourth, the only sara using adigitalinterent to talk to her interent boyfriend! come on (he's in thehall)(he'sright there) come on! Fifth, most of the movie i was cracking up becausehowbad the acting was and the plot and the screaming and the idea! sixth,therewas no suspense up to the killing and the music didnt work! like if youseethe movie, you know who is next! overall i give this a 0/100 yes 100!THEREIS so many things wrong with this. i am outraged that you imdb users thatwrote comments say that this might be the second best hallwoeen movie comeon i'd think you be alittle smarter than that!

It Made My Eyes And Ears Bleed!!!!!!!!!!

WARNING:I advise anyone who has not seen the film yet to not read thiscomment.This is absolutely one of the worst sequels ever made, and not just inthe Halloween series, I mean "EVER".They made Michael Meyers seem likea wimpy teenager, and they lowered his IQ level to the smartness of ablock of cheese.Let me just say, this film was HIGHLY unbelievable, andTOTALLY disappointing.First of all, Tyra Bank's death scene wasridiculous!!!!You can't loose that much blood from beingstrangled.Second of all, I wanted to crush Busta Rhymes head with arock.Michael should have beat the sh*t out of that little*sshole!!!!!Finally, Jamie Lee Curtis's character being killed off wascompletely unnecessary and an absolutely STUPID thing to do.I seriouslythink I was damaged for life after watching this movie, because I can'tstand to see film-making as we know it crumble and diminish right infront of me, WHEN I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!

I gave it a 3 cuz it made me laugh

I know this might be "sacreligious" to some horror movie buffs, butMichaelMyers really needs to die now. Once you have to throw Busta Rhymes into amovie, its just really sad. I did enjoy the twist it gave following theending of H20, but other than that, it was a total waste of time.

Ooops! They did it again!

Like JASON VORHEES, Michael Myers is impossible to kill. I didn't likethisone very much because it goes to show you that an evil like Michael isunstoppible and the movies won't stop. I am sick of them (HALLOWEEN andHALLOWEEN H20 are the best!!!). The beginning is interesting of howMichaelis still alive (I undertood it completely!). This movie has NO good actorsexcept for the girl who played Sara and the guy who played Myles(DECKARD).All in all, this movie blows.

A Sequel That Still Delievers After A Quarter Of A Century

Halloween: Resurrection is the best seventh sequel that I have seen in myentire life! It is excellent to see the Halloween genre go through newinnovative stories, due to the time periods that are in the movies. Thelate70's, The late 80's, The early and late 90's and now the Millenium. Thewriters are always different and the situations that Michael is put tokillhis relatives is very ingenious. This venture you may or not see thebloodline quickly evaporates. Even though what happens in the beginninghappens, there is still a mystery and as Will Brennan said in "H20" "Ibelieve that It is possible for recovery". To true fans who have seen thismovie, don't be let down by what has been shown. Remember when Dr. Loomisand Michael in Halloween 2 when Loomis exploded the operating room whichboth were in. Remember October 21, 1988 when they were both back inHalloween 4. You draw your conclusions. The new setting of broacastinguniversity students to be in the Myers home is excellent. Once again, thewriters of this movie take the audience to another level. They are usingtheconcept of the popular reality shows and using it as a background for thefilm. Michael is at his best in this film. Brad Loree (Michael Myers) isvery haunting and very strong as Michael. He is an excellent actor andneverlaid the rest of "Who's Afraid Of The Boogeyman". Jamie Lee Curtis isstilland always will be the "Scream Queen". Even though she is in the movie forashort time, you can feel the pain and torment that her character, LaurieStrode has endured for 24 years. She strong and it all runs in the family.Jacinda Barrett is excellent as Sara, Busta Rymes is Excellent asbusinessman Freddie Harris, and Ryan Merriman is excellent as Dekkard/Myles. This movie is excellent and a must see. when viewing this movie,getinto the feeling of the "Halloween " story, feel what the actors in themovie, are feeling especially Michael Myers and Laurie Strode and payattention to every part of the movie you will hear the story set thoughDanny Lux's excellent adaptation of John Carpenter's theme. A trueHalloweenfan will be proud. The storyline is excellent and this movie tells you whyit exists with the excellent flashbacks to Halloween H20. See it and toMoustapha Akkad, keep doing your thing, to all the directors of theseries,John Carpenter, Rick Rosenthal, Tommy Lee Wallace, Dwight H. the series is dead

Ok the series was pretty much finished with H20, why continue it and on top of that...why kill jamie lee curtis. you CAN'T have a halloween movie without her. It's entertaining in terms of watching a your basic gore fest, but it's not anywhere near being a true Halloween film.

Wrong title, first of all

"Halloween: Resurrection" has the wrong title, first of all. Theoriginal title, "Halloween: Homecoming" would have better suited thismovie. Second of all, the lead girl (played by Bianca Kajlich) waswoefully miscast (her acting is fine until she starts screaming, it wassome of the most unrealistic acting I have ever seen in a horrormovie). Third, the whole reality concept was fun about two years beforethis film got made.I am not sure what the filmmakers were thinking. Rick Rosenthal, whodirected a flawed but decent "Halloween II" in 1981, doesn't seem tohave a grasp on what makes a horror movie work. Though I liked thecamera effects used in this (FINALLY, Michael Myers is walking inslow-motion), I felt that the characters were poorly written (almost toan extreme) and the character of Freddie Harris played by rapper BustaRhymes was particularly annoying.The ending, while predictable, made me laugh because it almost fooledme into thinking that he would NOT open his eyes. How lame of me!

Based on a reality television series, this halloween installment isabosolutly terrible. It has 1 cameo in it, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie. Whogets killed within the first 15 minutes. AWESOME

How can people hate this movie? I am a HUGE fan of the Halloween Series, and I have to say, the people who gave this movie a bad review are such losers that they don't deserve to see another movie again. ANYWAY....Michael Myers, a maniac from hell is back in this powerful #8 in the series. He finds Laurie at a mental hospital and kills her. Then he goes after a bunch of thrill seeking college students who are camped out in his house for the night. Broadcast over the internet are the feeds from inside the house. Everything goes according to plan until Mikey himself decides to crash the party. I won't spoil the ending, but I will say this: Never, I say NEVER underestimate Mikey. 5 stars. 5. I'm looking forward to #9.

since i saw the movie, i knew that Michael myers won't be dead tillLaurieStrode son is dead and so is laurie Strode's grandson too.it true, watch all of the Halloween series ( except part 3 ) and listenwell. some of the producers or director's probably missed the whole storyabout other Halloween series that are related.if the production is making " Halloween 9 " they should watch the alltheHalloween series and listen carefully. they should write this down andusean idea's how to fit all this in " Halloween 9 " movie. plus if theproduction is making " Halloween 9 " they should make a last movie of it.this is probably the last movie they are making. they should called it :Halloween 9 : Michael's last trick or treatingwhat do you think ?
