Ghost Adventures - Season Five

Self-described as raw and extreme, the program originally began as an independent documentary television film, which was filmed by the crew in 2004 and produced by 4Reel Productions in 2006. The Sci-Fi Channel first presented 4Reels Ghost Adventures on July 25, 2007. The documentary centers on the trios investigation of alleged paranormal activity in and around Virginia City, Nevada, which the crew returned to on the fourth season of the series, and in Goldfield, Nevada in which the crew returned to in order to finish their lockdown at the Goldfield Hotel.

Best show ever!

1st to comment! Best show ever! I love everything about it.. 100% real, nothing faked hear like other shows... Zak is great! There is threepeople that go out and investigate actual haunted spots. Zak, Nick andAaron. They always seem to capture something. My favorite is the pilotepisode which a actual block gets thrown at them. They review the tapeand you can clearly see that there is no string, no hands, no trickery, just a block flying at them with force from a evil entity. This istruly my favorite show. I cannot wait for Friday nights on the TravelChannel. These 3 individuals do not use a camera crew and are onlysupplied with their own personal cameras and equipment. They then dohistory on the haunted places and lock themselves in with actual locksfor the entire night. Very creepy yet very entertaining. This showmakes me believe again! I recommend it 100%

Ignorant as hell but entertaining as well

I think that sums it up, much of Zak's theories are really silly.Physical sensations as evidence are easily recreatable psychosomaticsymptoms easily recreatable and intensified by the sensory confusion ofdarkness, also when Zak mentions that the fire in Virginia Citydestroyed the tombstones so the dead had no name which would make themnot at rest, that's quite possibly the stupidest thing he's ever said. Why? Because when you're dead, you give up your name, your name is notyou, you return to you in your purest form, your name getting erased bya fire in the physical world would have absolutely no effect on you asa spirit.Again, I love the show, but Zak is ignorant, I mean we all are to someextent, but man he's funny... I love the show but you really have gotto take what is said with a grain of salt because they mostly don'tknow what the hell the're talking about. Most haunting experiences tend to happen in the day, but they do theirlockdowns in darkness which serves no purpose other than to confuse thesenses, create false positives, I wonder if they really believe whatthey're saying, or if they really understand how silly they sound? Ilove how open minded Zak comes off on the show, but he also comes offas ignorant because he doesn't really have a scientific mind toquestion his own theories or test them.

They almost had me!!!

Well, I'll admit it, I fell for it the first 2 episodes and wasthrilled over this show. I thought Zak was okay I didn't mind him butdid think that he was over re-acting to things, only to find out on thethird episode (the asylum) that he was over acting not re-acting andwas a bit bummed out. However, all is not lost, this show is stillentertaining and a bit scary even though it's fake. I realized afterthat so called hand try to grab him (lol) that this was NOT real andthat what they found at the Sloss Boiler was in fact faked and wasdisappointed. I really like the cast, Aaron and Nick are cool guys andif Zak takes it down a notch with the over acting then he's not bad towatch either.Well, it's still a good show to watch but it's no better than MostHaunted and Ghost Hunters as far as reality goes....staged, faked, etc.but definitely one of the best.

"Did you hear THAT!? OMG did you HEAR That!?? "

"... I mean it was like a girl screaming. I'm getting it again. Andjust look at my heat sensor. I just got a blast of cold air. Wait aminute, what was that sound!? Oh my gosh - Did you hear it? Yeah, thatwas so freaky, dude, it sounded like a door... shutting. But we're theonly ones here. And my light didn't even move dude. I know it's dark inhere, I mean it feels dark in here. It's so bad. We shouldn't even bein here. I'm getting it again. The residuals... Wait - was thatfootsteps? Run the EVP's - let's a getta cap of that when we stoppedbeing locked down here." Etc.--The above quasi-dialogue is roughly typical of what may be said at somestage in any given episode of this frighteningly average "standardissue" ghost hunting show. Zzzzzz zzzzz.Basically a bunch of 'time-rich' mid-kids (+ the lead's pretty handsometo rope in the girls), got some cool cameras and a few other bits andpieces (Motion sensors, EVP & temp meters etc.) and decided it wasbetter to make a ghost hunting show, than get what is otherwisereferred to as: "real jobs". The economy sucks and all, anyway. Theplan being that if the show's successful it would then become theirreal job. So, next thing you know it's 2011, and whaddya know...another ghost hunting show became popular, owing to its usual plethoraof bumps, grunts, disembodied voices and disembowelled shadows whichmove through walls on cue. ("Disembowelled shadows"!!? lol ouch) Callme old, but these kind of shows get boring after you've watched acouple of disembodied episodes from one series, and this is nodifferent. "What was that!? Did you see that!?" It was like the sound of somethingor someone... I mean someone... changing the channel dude.

A very fun and entertaining show

This show appeared on the Netflix Instant watch on XBox live. So i gaveit a shot. The very first episode i watched was the Poveglia Island inItaly, and i have to say i thought that some parts were a little"iffy". So i decided to give it another watch and immediately i washooked on this gem of a show. I have never seen or heard a ghost in mylife, but this show really makes me believe in them. Zac pretty muchtaunts the ghosts to come out and hurt him and his crew, I reallybelieve these guys genuinely WANT to prove the existence of theparanormal, which is very refreshing to see. I highly recommend thisshow to anyone who wants a good scare, or just something kind ofinteresting to watch. They tend to get some extremely creepy EVP's onevery episode.

Why bother debunking?

This show is very good when you need a really big laugh. These castfreak over everything they hear or see. Last night i watched this showand could not stop laughing. I thought Zak Nick and Aaron were way toserious. It seemed every noise they heard they thought it wasparanormal. I've watched ghost hunters and they seemed moreprofessional and they are very good at debunking. This show is horribleat debunking and being professional, like i said last night i watchedit they thought this noise was a moaning and clearly it was an owl. Zakand his crew need to calm down. They can make you laugh and smile, butthey will not scare you.overall I gave this 5 stars because it wasentering funny not scary and exciting.

I freaking LOVE these guys!!! ::Happy Hearts Day spoiler::

I have to admit it - me, a long time "yeah, right, uh huh, whatever"gal loves these guys! Just don't tell my husband. Please.reeseslightning pretty much encapsulated the basic constructs of theirpersonalities. Their shear exuberance can be annoying at times but atleast they are limited in their annoyances. No huge long camera crews,no scipts, it is as it is and, oddly enough, GH is trying hard toemulate that.I admit I was a hardcore GH fan until I stumbled on this crew. I thinkI found their original episode by accident and since then I have beenhooked. Long live the GA crew!!!! They are funny, fun, scary and oddlyinformative. None of the internal histrionics that the GH crew had, nocrew changes (national versus internal - who the hell cares?) Justthree good ole boys, doing what they do. And I have to admit it, Iloved the Valentine's Day episodes too. Talk about look for love in allthe strange places. ::hahahaha::

Scary,Interesting and Raw.

Zak Baggans,Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin are out on a quest to catchproof of paranormal evidence by going to some of the most hauntedplaces across the world from country music bars to abandoned insaneasylums. They go in first to learn about the place then they the threeare locked down inside for an entire night trying to catch ghosts onvideo and on audio. This show is really scary and really gets you towonder about the after-life. Of course one cannot help being skepticalat points in the shows, however they still do hold a very convincingtone to it. I think it tops all of those other ghost shows. Especiallythe god-awful Ghost Hunters. I think that's what it's called, but it'sthe one where its the group one thousand British people and all it doesis bore you rather than scare you. Watch them jump at barely audiblenoises, such as creaky floor boards and other non-scary stuff. Somecriticism arrives from the show, but the evidence that tries to revealthem as fakes holds very weak and makes me want to see these skepticslocked down in a place ridden with demons. What gives Ghost Adventuresa good scary edge is the taunting of evil spirits that mainly ZalBaggans does. In one episode he is physically attacked!! That issomething that never happens on other ghost shows. Some deniers claimthat they are actors. Well just to be honest, Zak and Nick have triedto become actors, however, that's complete B.S to bring up against thembecause a lot of people do stuff like that to get noticed. Likereporters who do stuff on purpose to get noticed or movie stars sayingoutrageous crap to get put in the headlines (example: Owen Wilson'ssuicidal thoughts. Angelina Jolie trying to become a lesbian.I could goon, but I don't think I will !!). Also to clear stuff up,I can safelysay that these three kids aren't the only ones behind the show. I'mpretty sure there are people responsible for selecting the locations, writing the show's narration, and traveling with them. The three do goin for lock downs by themselves though. They also probably have somesort of creative direction behind the show. These guys can't run aTravel Channel show completely!! No one can for any show!! Even if itis reality. This show is really great and can be funny at timeslistening to their "Woah.... dude, bro" reactions as well as Zak'sdelightful personality. For instance when they are in the HoughtonMansion in the Masonic Temple part, Aaron bumps into this small altarand Zak jokes, "Woah, dude , that thing might have powers.." And thinkthat's okay, because that's where this show gets it's charm from.

The Worst of the Ghost Hunting Shows

This is the worst among all the reality TV ghost hunting shows. Firstof all it is not scientific in any manner. They do not practiceobjectivity in investigations. They always come into a place, acceptingas fact whatever hearsay of paranormal activity is reported. They comein with their conclusions and just are searching for such experiences. One example is the investigation in Bobby Mackee's place. The leaderkeeps on speaking of the well as being a portal of hell where demonicspirits use to come in. 1. What is his basis that the well is theportal? 2. What is his basis that, if it is a portal, that it is tohell? 3. What is his basis to say that the spirits are demonic? 4. Evenmore basic than that, what is his basis to say there are spirits? -Totally, unscientific sensationalism. If they were there toinvestigate, then one begins with questions and not conclusions.Furthermore, there is this part where he whips out the EMF meter tomeasure spirit activity in the bathroom area. He didn't even take abaseline reading to start with to find out if the area is inherentlyhigh with EMF. Also, in the same episode, they point out to body hairstanding as signs of the presence of spirits. What is the basis forsuch a statement? Extremely irresponsible to neglect the more obviousphysiological causes of one's skin hair standing. in other words, thesepeople believe any story they hear, take it as fact, then enter into alocation trying to find anything to justify the story. The conclusionbegins before the investigation. At least other shows have some sense of science and objectivity. Someother shows actually INVESTIGATE and even try to debunk rather than dowhat this show does.

Riviera Hotel Shark Jump?

Hey, I've been a regular viewer for a few years. They don't usually getany compelling evidence of ghosts, but I always tune in every week tosee if this is one of the few times they will.Recently, I thought it was pretty bad when they heard a slight blip ontheir ghost radio and made it out to be Johnny Cash saying, "I do".Even worse when they took it in for voice analysis and LO AND BEHOLD itwas an exact match of Johnny Cash's recorded voice! stupid, or justplaying the viewers for stupidBut this latest episode at the Riviera Hotel with aging burnt outrocker Vince Neil, and his gaggle of groupies was really pathetic.Maybe this show has "jumped the shark".

Pros and Cons

My first reaction upon seeing the commercial for the series premiere onthe Travel Channel was: "Oh, great. Not another ghost-hunting show!"Initially, I thought, "Okay, there's a cocky buff guy (perhaps onsteroids) with a big ego who wants publicity and likes to show off hisbiceps." But after a while, I feel that the ghost-hunting trio is moreentertaining and more worthy of being nationally televised and watchedthan either British women screaming (Most Haunted) or another boringgroup barely getting anything (Ghost Hunters).Obviously, the primary reason we viewers watch these paranormalprograms is to see to believe. Having seen these shows as well asmaterial posted on the Internet, I believe that ghosts/spirits of thedead (and thus the afterlife) are plausible. I am agnostic about theexistence of the afterlife and ghosts. With that said, I am alsouncertain that any of the unexplainable phenomena the crew captured onvideo (including full-bodied apparitions, shadow people, mists, movingobjects, and physical harm and possessions) are actual. On average, Isee two (2) visual phenomena captured per episode/investigation. But asalways, it's up to us to decide. As for the shallow and narrow-mindedskeptics, especially those hardcore and lazy ones, I highly recommend(as any paranormal enthusiast would) that they spend hours atreportedly haunted local places and experience whatever happens forthemselves. A Gallup poll conducted in 2005 shows that 3/4 of Americansbelieve in something paranormal; whereas, 1/3 (32%) believe in theexistence of ghosts, and 37% in haunted properties. All in all, their investigations seem rather fruitful in pursuingvisual and auditory "evidence" to prove that ghosts, and thus theafterlife, exist (and that witnesses aren't crazy). Being apparentlyenthusiastic and emotional, the crew experiences and documents more(apparently real) incidents than TAPS from Ghost Hunters and any othercompeting show that I know of, which have faulty camera crews andall-too-brief vigils that last only a few hours. Despite TAPS's more"professional" approach, TAPS rarely receives any evidence and is tooboring to watch; whereas, GAC is much more entertaining and capturesthe most phenomena, spending an entire night (10±2 hours) at eachplace. Indeed, Ghost Adventures got so much stuff that anti-AdventuresHunters fans find their evidence hard to believe and suspect that it'sfake. Moreover, their televised 2006 documentary filmed in 2004 (duringtheir amateur days) has received several awards, including the 2006Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the NYIIFVF. After the airingof the "walking apparition" and "flying brick" in the film, TAPS seemsto follow wherever GAC first went: the Old Washoe Club in VirginiaCity, NV and the Goldfield Hotel in Goldfield, NV. The trio may bescared more easily, but maybe fear increases paranormal activity.Having read feedback comments on various websites, including IMDb, Ifind that haters and hard-headed viewers are criticizing the show tooseriously. Ghost Adventures Live at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylumin Weston, West Virginia was the best live televised ghost hunt I'veever seen so far. For me, neither Most Haunted Live nor Ghost Hunters:Live Halloween Countdown even compare to GAL's higher level ofinteractivity. The trio has even publicly investigated some places withfans and enthusiasts alike. Those who seriously dislike this rarelyboring show really need to chill. They could have at least enjoyed(rather than overlook) the entertaining moments of spontaneous humor, such as their overreaction and three body types. Where else can you seea trio of buff, thin, and fat guys all in one show? The hatersshouldn't be taking it too seriously; there's no need to be allnegative. Geez, no sense of humor, which is very much needed.Sure, I do agree that ex-skeptic Zak (born 1977) can sometimes beannoying, irritating, obnoxious, overrated, cheesy, lame, egotistic, and verbally repetitive. Since he and Nick take part in the editing, heis responsible for making himself look that way. To me, the alpha maleis a better narrator than either a host or lead investigator. I thinkhe tries to act tough to make up for running from the brick in theGoldfield Hotel and from the Virginia City cemetery. But wouldn'tanyone be scared in a creepy, dark, haunted place? Zak was a DJ—maybethat explains his attitude. Is it just me, or is married Nick (born1980) getting mellower since Season 1? The youngest member, he seems tobe the coolest and most mature. And who cannot love that Aaron (born1976)? The oldest member, he's so cuddly, bubbly, and funny. Is it justme, or is he losing a little weight and fear? Who would ever forget hisfright face after hearing the EVP in the miners' cabin? I can't helpbut say to myself, "Poor Aaron!" He cracks me up every time.FYI: Throughout the series, Zak and Nick keep incorrectly saying"(electronic voice) phenomenons" instead of "phenomena." Also, Zak andAaron like to say "dude," and Aaron gasps with a laughable facialexpression and often shouts, "Whoa, my God!" LOL!So far to me, Ghost Adventures is the most artistic, entertaining, andfruitful ghost-hunting TV series. Destination Truth (2007–present) andGhost Adventures are my top two most entertaining paranormal TV shows.Scariest Places on Earth (2001–06) looks and sounds like the mostoriginal paranormal reality TV series. Overall, I give the show 8/10(4/5) stars.

Interesting and Entertaining Show

My brother got me hooked on this show after I got sick of GhostHunters, which are a collection of jack-offs who jump at small noises. These three boys have personality: Zak is the leader of the pack, Aaronis the giggly, goofy, cuddly bonehead, and Nick is the quiet, purposeful one. They go to paranormal locations that I have never heardof, and some that I have heard of (such as Bobby Mackey's, Ohio StateReformatory, which is in my parents' hometown). Some of the episodeshave been ridiculous and they have come back with nothing, but theytake it in stride. They have found some really creepy things in someplaces, though. (it's difficult to say without spoiling any episodesfor anybody). However, you can watch full episodes on youtube.com.It's also interesting to see Zak go from an egotistical prick (as seenin the original Ghost Adventures documentary) to an emotional andempathetic guy. For example, in the original episode where they went tothe Silver Queen, he mocked the lady ghost who committed suicide inthere. Later on, he brought her flowers and a lovely apology and spokegently to her, realizing that he did indeed hurt her feelings. He seemsto be a "sensitive", or picking up on the emotions of others, and hasdeveloped a sense of empathy (all of the guys have). It's a fun way to pass time and get a nice good scare on occasion. Thescariest episodes I've seen are Bobby Mackey's, Ohio State Reformatory,Mizpah Hotel.

Awful show

I personally don't care much for this show or how they do thereinvestigations, every show they claim they have evidence of paranormalactivity. Anyone with half of a brain knows that when we do theinvestigation's there are going to be plenty of times were we will comeup empty handed. I think (And I have had plenty of other people I knowthat feel the same) gives paranormal field a bad name. Zak (Leadinvestigator) Will be saying to the spirits "I'm not afraid of you!""Your a coward" and other things trying to get a reaction from thespirit, then every little sound he goes "Did you hear that?" Alsoanother thing don't like about this show- their EVP's suck, most of thetime you cant understand what its saying and then you have Zak sayingit's is saying "I hate Zak" or whatever. As said this show is acomplete joke. I'm sure there are gonna be a few Ghost Adventure fansthat will be offended by that and probably call me names- oh well! lol.If you want to see a real paranormal show then watch Ghost Hunters.

I-Luv-Movies 2012-05-14 07:05:24

Great paranormal entertainment, "dude!"

I'm a huge fan of paranormal television programs and this one has gotme hooked! The team locks themselves in some of the most haunted placesovernight but first will spend a little time in the town learning aboutthe location and the people there. Even though I feel the trio (Zak,Nick, and Aaron) could do more "debunking" when it comes to many thingsthat occur, this show is raw and is sure to win over the skeptic in you(at least with some of the evidence). You'll find many of theirreactions during lockdown humorous. The three can overdo it a bit. Yousee their raw reactions...no scripts. Be prepared for somebleeping...these boys hold nothing back...and also hearing the word"Dude" at least a hundred times. I wholeheartedly suggest you checkthis program out. It pulls you in, regardless if you love them or hatethem. You won't be able to wait for the commercials to be over.

Freakin' addicting!!!

If Ghost Adventures had their own church, I would be there every Sundayand Wednesday service and more than likely every single pie pickin bakesale!! This show ROCKS!!!! Premise is simple: 12 hours, one hauntedplace and 3 tubular dudes with video cameras who are locked in fromdusk till dawn (sweet movie.) It can't get any better. Personally, Idon't doubt them one bit. Their not there to prove a haunting ordismiss it, they're just their to capture the legends on film. Thelocations are credible, you've probably even seen them on otherparanormal shows which even makes them more credible! As for theirevidence, they break it down immediately after it happens sometimesplaying it over a few times or at a slower pace and if they catchanything really spooky like a full apparition, it's analyzed to deathbecause ultimately that's the main goal is to show you that what theyget is REAL. It's also nice to have just 3 regular normal guysinteracting with you through the show than a bunch of pocket protectorscientists whom you can't even understand. Zak, Nick and Aaron are justlike you which makes the series even better. They do the exact samething my friends and I do on the weekends and it's so awesome to knowthat we're not the only ones who do that crazy crap!! I love them, can't get enough of them and hope it's on air forever!!

janettm 2012-05-13 13:16:50

Can't stand watching them too long

The title sums it all up: Three guys go on to experience ghostadventures. That said, let's talk about their methods. They get lockedinto a haunted site, set their cameras up in places where they expectsomething to happen and then roam the building for the rest of thenight. More often than not they actually catch something. Most of thetime it's "voices" that they categorize "unexplained". Sometimesthey're lucky and catch some video, too. Their methods don't seem to betoo professional. Especially the main guy annoys me a lot, because he'salways screaming around. You would think that a ghost also hears youwhen you speak in a normal voice. Most of their findings are "weirdfeelings" which have no scientific reason at all, if you ask me. Theyalways show you wishy-washy footage and claim it's paranormal, when inreality you hardly see anything. Well, I only watch this show because Iguess they have to be lucky sometime and catch something that can betaken as real proof. But really, after all is said and done, this isjust 45min of some guys running around with a camera and yelling andfeeling very important.

2012-05-13 00:14:14

They're not afraid of no ghosts!

I have to say that I have watched Ghost Adventures before but I watchedthe Halloween special where they spent seven hours in a closed asylumat the Trans-Allegheny Asylum in Weston, Virginia. I have to say that Idon't see much because of the footage. Now, they film in the dark butthey use special lights. I don't like their attitudes towards theghosts. They seem to come across as aggressive rather than friendly. They come across arrogant at times when they should be moreunderstanding. They are too busy listening for a one sound or proof oftheir existence. I wished that they spent their time being productivein sending the ghosts home to the afterlife. It doesn't make sense tokeep them suspended in the earth and dealing with a trio of ghosthunters. Of course, the ghosts react aggressively and nasty towardstheir visitors. They are unwelcome in their habitat and don't make aneffort in sending them home to the light.

A solid entertaining paranormal-show

When it comes to paranormal-shows (or more specifically ghost huntingshows) I think I've seen quite a few of it. Ghost Hunters (which isprobably the most popular ghost hunting show nowadays), Most Haunted, and a few others come to mind. However, what I think distinguishesthese shows from Ghost Adventures is the fact that Ghost Adventures hasa lot more entertainment-value.A lot of times it seems that people either love or hate this show.Whether they think that the three investigators Zak, Nick and Aaron areannoying, or that the show simply has questionable evidence, it seemsthat a lot of people have sómething to nitpick about this show. However, when I watch a TV-show I want to be entertained and that iswhere Ghost Adventures scores the highest I think because usuallyparanormal-shows get boring quite quickly. The crew has a interesting approach by locking themselves up at eachparanormal site (or at least claimed to be paranormal site), fromevening to morning while investigating. This eliminates the possibilitythat any crew-member besides themselves might pollute their potentialevidence, which is quite clever considering that there was never anyparanormal-show that took that in consideration until now. These guys also have a good sense of humor which is a good thingbecause else the investigation would get repetitive and boring quicklyI imagine. Whether Zak's fear of snakes is playing up, or he's gettingattacked by a wild cat, there is always something to break the tension. The evidence they get is sometimes interesting as well, but this is ofcourse something that you always have to take with a grain of saltsince its a TV-show.If you thought Ghost Hunters got boring after season 3, then check outGhost Adventures. If you don't take it tóó seriously, you might enjoythem as much as I do.Good luck on season 3 guys!

Haters gonna hate

Let me just start by saying that I love paranormal shows and this is byfar, the best one I've seen. If you don't like paranormal or don'tbelieve in it, then why are you watching it? For entertainment? Fine. You'll be entertained. Otherwise, what's the point of watching a showyou hate?Anyway, the reason I started watching GA was because of the ViscillaAxe Murder House. I was a little put off by the men's attitudes atfirst because that might be the most disturbing thing I've everresearched; it stays with you long after you hear about it and yet, none of the guys were showing any sign of sadness or sympathy for thevictims. Then I realized that's just the sensitive girl in me (theycan't walk around sobbing now can they? That's just unproductive) so Istopped and listened and before I knew it, I was completely hooked.Until I saw that episode, I was an avid Ghost Hunters fan. Yet,comparing the two (and you can't help but to compare them) I can seewhy so many people have switched to GA; their passion really drivestheir curiosity of the unknown while with GH, it just seems like ahobby. I could be totally wrong about that, but that's how it comesacross. One thing I really appreciate is that the camera crew are also thehosts- and there's only 3 of them! They don't have teams whichdecreases the chance of contamination, which makes their evidence moresolid. Often times during GH, I would wonder if it were the cameramenor sound guys making a sound and not admitting to it but with GA, youdon't have to guess because their cameras are often trained on eachother; Zak is talking to Nick's camera while Aaron is filming Nick. Theguys are quite the characters too.Aaron is the dramatic one. He can be over the top sometimes and iscertainly the most jumpy out of the 3. He can often break the intensityof the situation with a simple open mouth gasp and it can either beannoying or hysterical. He seems timid when in a group setting, likehe's more frightened by his co-hosts than the ghosts.Nick is the experimental one (he's also known as the "Runner" from myfriends because of his history of running when things got scary). Atthe risk of sounding childish, he's definitely my favorite one tolisten to. By that, I mean compared to Zak's forceful voice, his isquiet but confident and he can provoke the spirits just as well. Youcan tell he likes being by himself as it gives him the freedom ofhaving one on one contact with something paranormal-friendly or not. He's the perfect middle between Aaron's dramatics and Zak's ferocity;he's the calm between two storms essentially.Zak is the leader. Despite his tough exterior, Zak has shown on manyoccasions that he has quite the sense of humor (for proof, see theirValentine's Day special). He's also gotten extremely emotional duringsome experiences- not crying, thank God- but they certainly add tooverall effect of what I'm seeing. It wouldn't be the same if they havestoic faces during a terrifying EVP session or physical contact. He'sthe anchor of the show and without him and his tiny shirts, it justwouldn't be the same.Sure, these guys can sound like they stepped into Bill and Ted'sExcellent Adventure but in a way, it works. It tells me that these areaverage guys who have a passion for something and they followed it. Thelearn experience from on the job and watching their first documentaryto their latest episode, you can really tell how much they've grownfrom their experiences. Those things being said, there are 2 things that bug me: 1) they don'tshow much debunking. That doesn't mean they don't do it, because theytell you if it's something non paranormal but I wished they did moredebunking in general. Especially with banging and sounds. 2) Zak saidon one case, that they don't like to get religious on cases, which Icompletely understand, but if you're going to say something'sdemonic...that's religious; "holy" water will do as much good as anumbrella during a tidal wave.Of course, like any show that has the paranormal in it, you pretty muchhave to take their word for things. Are these guys trustworthy? If youdon't think so, then at least you can be entertained for an hour.

sigh...

If you watch this show and actually believe the s#!t they shovel intoyour brains, I feel sorry for you. First of all, ghosts are not real.Second, these "dude-bros" don't care about actual paranormal activitywhatsoever. Can you not sense the sarcasm in their voices? This is justa money making scheme and it's foolish fans of this garbage that helpthem continue to produce their waste. The only reason I find this showentertaining is because of it's comedic value. How often do you havefrat daddies toting around "paramormal equipment" and sharing their"knowledge" of ghosts? How do they run in those birkenstocks? Why arethey running? And from what? I wonder if they get paid in kegs ofNatural Delight.
