"Ok Sequel!"

Don Opper stars in this 1991 sci-fi/horror sequel.A bounty hunter helps apartment tenants beingterrorized by hungry aliens. This is an ok sequelfeaturing a younger Leo DiCaprio and Terrence Mann makes a cameo as Ug. This dvd has good picture and sound plus trailers for all 4 films.If you like these films, get this.

All I have to say is Chomp, Chomp, Chomp!

This movie is very good. I'd say that Critters(1) was the best then Critters 3, 2 wasn't very good. I havn't seen 4 yet. There are a lot of funny critter parts (the food fight in the kitchen was the best). If you havn't seen this yet, SEE IT NOW! I hope they make a Critters 5.

Leonardo DiCaprio in his first movie

I got to admit, I re-watched this as of late and had no clue thatLeonardo DiCaprio was in it. But I thought he always looked familiar inhis more girly movies like WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE and TITANIC.(Don't get me wrong I liked Titanic.) It was still kind of girly untilthe ship sinks and people started dying. But Critters 3? Never thoughtof him a cool monster movie. As you may or may not be aware of yet. ButI liked the first two Critters movies. This is no exception, but I gotto admit, there is nothing really new in this one, except for thelocation of the monsters, an apartment building. Nothing really amazinghappens in this. But it's still fun and still worth watching, just forLeo. 9 STARS.

I thought the movie was o.k. but it could have been better.

The movie was alright. It didn't have much of a plot but it was quite funny. I liked it. Critters 3 wasn't at all that scary. I mean the category that the movie falls under is neither comedy or horror but both.

Pretty Decent...

This was a fun movie...I love the Critters movies and this was one of my favorites...I meennothing beets the original but that is always hard to do ne ways...So i give this movie a break...I liked it...A lot of people did...imeen some people want more...but you can't be too greedy u know...thenthe next one would not be able to come out haha...But the next one is a disappointment...now that is the one you shouldbe talking smack about...But I still say that this beats the gremlins series all together... Imeen come on...little fur balls...that kill!!! whats not to love haha

Too silly, even for a Critters movie.

Basically the first two Critters movie were already silly ones but in agood and entertaining way. This movie is way more of a B-movie, that issilly but for all of the wrong reasons.This is the first sequel that doesn't really follows the plot of thefirst two movies. Basically all of the characters are new and there areno bounty hunters this time (well, as good as none, since the bountyhunter in this movie shows up far too late) and the budget for this oneobviously went down again. To save even more costs, the movie got shotback-to-back with part 4, which I imaging will be just as bad, since itdirectly follows this movie and got made by the same people involved aswith this one.It's just a typical B-genre movie, that doesn't really have anyoriginality in it or brings entertainment. It makes "Critters 3" a realredundant sequel, you can easily do without. Granted that things couldhad been way worse for this movie but it just ain't exactly a good oneeither. The movie just falls flat as a science-fiction/horror/comedy.Also kind of strange to notice how the Critters has suddenly changed inthis one. They are about double their usual size this time, withoutgiving an explanation for that and they are even more Gremlins like inthis movie than was the case in the previous one.The movie is only made interesting because this was the feature filmdebut of Leonardo DiCaprio. He was about 17 in this movie and of courselooking baby-faced like he still does now. I like watching this wellknown actors in their early roles. It's fun to see how they act and iftheir style has improved and changed over the years. Quite funny some of the time

Same Old thing rely bunch of critters people trapped in a building with noweapons some people get eaten critters get killed end of story not bad forasequel.I wish more people got eaten like in critters 2 but you can notexpect real gore from a 15.15 for some violence and occasionalswearing.

Showing It's Age

This review is from: Critters 3 - You Are What They Eat (DVD) I have been a fan of the Critters Movies, since I was a little Boy. I remember being about three years old and sitting on my fathers lap, watching these Movies. I was really scared. Now I watch them and I'm not that scared, there just very good campy fun. And there is little to no gore, and maybe 3 Adult Terms, through the hole film.For the third film, "Critter 3" there were many changes. Namely different hero, different setting, differnet production company, and a guarented sequel (this and part 4 were filmed back-to-back). This film trys to have more comedy than the other films, which I hate to say doesn't really work well.A young girl returns home after cammping, with mysterious eggs under her families camper. The egg's hatch and the hair-balls infest her "Starshallow" like apartment building.

Critters having a night out on the Town

This was far from the best of the 4. Critters had seemingly peaked in 2. But don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed this movie a lot, despite my saddness at Leo not getting killed in his big screen debut. Good to see Charlie back and pursuing his Krite Bounty Hunting career. Fuzzy slippers all the way!

Very cheap – but some trashy fun to be had

A young family stop off at a lay-by on their way home. At the lay-by theymeet bounty hunter Charlie who warns them about something living in thewoods. However that `something' has just attached it self under theirmobile home and hitches a ride back to their tenement block where thecritters cause havoc amongst the residents.Lets be honest – no one say to be shocked to discover this is a cheap littlefilm that doesn't have too much going for it. The plot is the usual –people hunted by critters – stuff, this time in a building so it's like DieHard with aliens….err no! The story doesn't matter as the action is whatcounts.Sadly the action is poor – it's not really gory and the critter attacks arealways more funny than thrilling. There is no real excitement or tensionand it's all a bit predictable – take a guess who'll live and who'll die –the cute kids or the evil landlord? See! The one thing it does have thoughis a sort of humour – the critters have senses of humours and are cruel andsome of this is amusing.However the comedy is nowhere near the one it aspires to – Gremlins, andreally the funniest bit is how silly the whole thing is. Needless to say theacting is poor – some people can't even be mauled convincingly. But it'sinteresting to see DiCaprio's debut, even if he looks about 9 yearsold!Really this is a bit of dumb fun that is daft and slightly shoddy. It's mayjust pass the time but there are much better horror/comedies out there ifyou want them.

Critters 3

Critters 3 continues the story of the hairy Critters from outer spacethat try to kill any humans in sight. This time Leonardo DiCaprio joinstenants in an LA apartment complex as they fight to escape death. Thefilm starts off with a family road trip. They stop off at Grover's Bend(same place from the first two movies) and some Critters and their eggsattach onto the car. They eventually wind up in downtown Los Angeleswhere they live in this seedy apartment building. Of course the eggshatch and are now on the loose. They kill off a maintenance worker inthe basement before attacking a large woman's Bunny slippers. Once theyhear her screams for help, the chase is on between the tenants and thelittle monsters. Leo DiCaprio plays a kid with a nasty stepfather whois actually the landlord of the apartment.There are plenty of laughs throughout the whole thing. The large womangetting stung in her behind with the critters spikes. There is a funnyscene reminiscent to Critters 2 in the diner when the monsters starteating the food and make a mess of the place. In Critters 3, wediscover that the critters can indeed pass gas. This third Critters isvery different from the other two, but yet just as good. I thought thelocation of the apartment building was smart and I like the chasescenes throughout the place.Definitely a good addition to the comical horror series. Check this oneout for sure.7/10

Critter s 3 tame but still dangerous

Fist the terrorized a farm. then they over ran the town of Grovers Bend. Now they have moved up into an apartment. This was and okay film. It was not as good as the first to. Don Opper retuns as charlie. This has the less gore of the 4th movies. A very low death count only 2 people die in this one.Things I like the cystal Charle gives the boy glows when there in danger. Lenoard De Caprio looks interesting in this film. This porbably was his first movie to star in. Not as successfull as the other films he wasin but still pretty good.Just like in critter 1 ans 2 the krites apperance has been altered. It has some fun parts in it. There is this part is really fun when Josh Lenadord Dicapro goes with his father to evict the people living in the apartment. After he shuts of the power he hears the sound of a televesion. He goes to investigate. This part of the movie I think wassupposed to be a rip of off the part in Gremlins when the Gremlins are watching Snow white. The Krites are watching a thing one a batter powered t.v about how to pre pare chicken. It get real intense near the end especial when the apart catchs one fire. The fire is caused by one of the Krites that died by shallowing a flare. This is similiar to a gag that was in the first one where one of the Krites swallows a lit fire cracker.The little boy I adormal. At the end of the movie the dad and grows real cllose tohis shown and daughter. They apolize for they way they have treated each other. Pretty good movie.Here what they could have done tomkae it better. Gaving Charlie a larger rule, put more gore in it. Brought bradly brown back again have put ug in it. Ug you do not see again until the last one or credits of 3 if you choose to watch them. I will and alway will like critters. I own all four on VHS. I am planning of buying them on DVD so I can watch them more frequently. Crittes series is great but Vhs were out real quickly if you watch then alot. I will and always will like critters.

Better than part 2 I'll give it that

Okay I was a big fan of the first Critters movie. In fact I love itwitha passion, but the sequels are bad. This one isn't the worst. I would haveto say that this is the best sequel that came out of the series. Playsmoreof a comedy than a Science Fiction-Horror flick but hey what are you goingto do?

Pretty awful

Now today I'm not going to review Critters 3 instead I'm going to talkabout it. Now for Critters 1 and 2 I've said how good they are but I'mnot going to say that this one is good instead it is awful. They alwaysmake good horror movies but then they have to make the sequels reallybad which I find really annoying!! Now normally horror movies aredirected by men but Critters 3 is directed by a girl (no wonder thismovie is so crap.) And they have new actors in this movie and they areterrible. Also Leonardo Dicaprio Joins the Critters as he try to stopthose nasty hairballs. Now this maybe a short review. Thats becauseI've got nothing else to say so Bye.

Could have been better!

I thought this was an ok sequel but not as good as the first 2 films. I think there should not have been any more sequels after 2 because it ended really well. This one could have been a little better and the same thing goes for part 4. The only good part of 3 is when they show Charlie, the rest of the movie is kind of boring. I own all 4 of these films on dvd and even recommend this one to add to your collection.

Another cheap, but fun, critters movie

This has to be the worse Critter movie in the series, full of cheap effectsand bad acting. The storyline is just as bad and the acting is terrible. Whyis this movie fun? Because there is so much good material to make fun of andmock. It's not scary, and it's not really any good in the Sci-Fi department,but as a bad film to make fun of, its great. Don't watch this film if you'relooking for a good movie, watch this film if you're looking for a good film tomake cracks at.

Critters 3: this was released in 1991. I did enoy this movie. Leonardo DiCaprio starred in this movie. He was only 17 years old when he starred andplayed a part in this movie. I enjoy watching critters as i think it getsyou in the mood when the humour comes. I give this one 10 out of10.

This sequel begins with a teenage girl, Annie(Brooks), her father and young brother heading to their L.A. apartmentbuilding. Along the way, they stop near Grover's Bend where bountyhunter, Charlie McFadden (Opper) tells them about the town's previousencounters with the Critters. When Annie and her family get home, theyand their neighbors become terrorized by a new batch of hungry aliens.Soon, Charlie comes to their rescue and helps them fight against them.Leo is younger in this and plays Josh, the stepson of their ruthlesslandlord. This sequel is OK, but really unnecessary because the lastfilm ended well. I still recommend this if you're a fan of theCritters.

Not as good as first two but it still as some fun moments

This movie start off with a family of 3 going to a rest stop but theretyre burst and had to stop and fix it.Then kids are messing around and then soon go down a big hill and thenCharlie comes from underneath the ground and scary all kids. (We onlyperson to return to this sequel and the one after just like Burt inTremors series). He tells these kids about Critters (As we see this in flashback of thelast two movies). A Critters seem to enter the Minnie-van, the family are unaware of thisand the end up going back to their New York apartment and then theCritters laid more eggs under the van and soon start hatching and headtoward the basement.I am going give this movie 5 out of 10 I found this movie are lot morefunny then first however I still think that second one was even morefunny then this and better movie then this movie.This movie as it's moments and keep you entertained and never getboring at all.If you liked the last two movies you should like this movie as well.
