I guess if you are a slacker and vacuous dolt with a double-digit IQthis movie would be of interest to you.Careless goes far beyond being a stupid film about stupid people andonly an out-and-out miracle will keep you watching until it's finished.Roll your eyes, cross your eyes, stare at the ceiling and keep proddingyourself to stay awake, you're a loser, you can do it! Talk about the movie? I really don't want to. It's stupid end to end.The characters are typical fornicating dropout laggards with dead-endlifestyles who were probably raised on hot dogs and processed cheese.Must I say more? I don't know, maybe deprived of oxygen at birth,retardation, genetic throwbacks, morons at best.The story? No, now you have gone too far. Please don't be a fool andactually see Careless. I feel so ashamed for letting this refuseviolate my mind.

Quirky for the sake of being quirky.

It seems ever since "Little Miss Sunshine" was a hit the Independentfilm market gave up being original in favour of following LMS's lead. Suddenly there is an influx of these "offbeat and quirky" films thatlack what made Little Miss Sunshine a good movie in the first place: afun and coherent storyline.Careless is one of those movies. Rather than an actual plot, the storyseems to revolve around "look at how quirky I am!". From the maincharacters almost bi-polar personality, to his quirk filled (Oh look hedresses funny and talks sarcastically!) but still one dimensional bestfriend, and the love interest who seemed to embody all the quirkycharacter attributes without any realism whatsoever.Not to mention that the mystery of where the finger came from, thebasis of the story, honestly ended up being not that interesting afterall. I stopped caring about halfway through the film. The ultimatepayoff to this big mystery didn't make a lick of sense, and againseemed to have been written just to be 'quirky'.Also, is it just me or do all of these offbeat independent films usethe same offbeat music?
