Its was and entertaining movie

This is a new Barbie movie. The graphics were really good. They madethe movie seem partially realistic. I used to do ballet and this moviemade me want to continue it. This movie was kind of like a Cinderellamovie but a little bit different. A father of 12 princesses gets verysick. His cousin poisons him and wants the throne. The girls find asecret magical land thanks to their dead mother's stories. Its up tothem to save their father and society. With the help of their handsomeprince. It was a funny movie and me and my friend had fun watching it.We enjoyed it a lot and also enjoyed the Indian talking parrot. Themusic was very nice and made the movie even greater. It had a greatclassical orchestra. The voices were great and the characters wereadorably sweet and cute. I liked it so enjoy the movie its great forthe family. All in all I'd watch it again.

Not sure if I like this one...

My 4YO and 2YO love this movie. It does help a little that my oldesthas the same name as Barbie in this movie. :) We've only just gotteninto the Barbie movies as they've gone on clearance, they usually havepretty twisted morals. Not sure if I'd rather have that than the boysaves girl of the original stories. Anyway, this one has rubbed me thewrong way. The duchess that comes in and tries to make them"princesses" is only enforcing normal rules... like bedtime andpunctuality. (Some of the same things I try to enforce at home.)Okay... and then she tries to kill their dad off, that's bad. But mykids don't really understand the whole death thing, so for them itseems like everyone's upset that the duchess is making them followrules and be considerate of others... Hmm... other than that, its not so bad.

A Magical Tale Perfect for Little Girls

I thought this movie was perfect for little girls. It was about amagical place where Genevieve and all her sisters could do what theywanted to do the most anytime they'd like. Most little girls would likethis story, even though there is the thought of death in it. Althoughno one dies, the king almost does, but little girls would notunderstand it, so it adds up to make a perfect story. All the eventsadd up, creating a great plot that can have a meaning if you dig deepenough. This story is perfect for little girls, and since it is abarbie movie, the kids can have more fun with it, especially if theyhave barbies of their own. Anyone can have fun with it, though, becauseit is so cute and understandable. Overall, I think this movie is a goodmovie for everyone, especially little girls, and will give anyone asmile at least once during it.

Good for Girls and Boys

I feel that this movie is different from so many others in that itshows a family of girls who actually care about each other. They mayhave faults, but bitterness and put-downs have no place with thesegirls. Try to find that on TV or in the usual movies. It is a breath offresh air to see girls being feminine--wearing beautiful, femininedresses and shoes. Contrast that with the apparel in stores today, i.e.raggedy and faded jeans and jackets, etc. The story line has an evilthread running through but that is what makes it more realistic andinteresting. I know that it is animated, but it still gives you afeeling that families can stick together and come out okay. I wouldrecommend this movie for boys and girls alike.
