This movie is awful. At the end of it you will realize that severalhours have been stolen from your life that you can't get back. The"twist" ending is very contrived. The character development leading upto this ending is not consistent with their final actions at theconclusion. Ninety minutes of preparation-- with the premise that theRob Lowe character will die on Christmas Eve-- is explained away inliterally ninety seconds of "No we were just tricking you." Then theRob Lowe character is not even upset about it! "I will forgive you ifyou can forgive me," is as upset as he gets. If someone took weeks toconvince me I was about to die and then said "No, sorry , just foolingyou" I would raise some serious hell. I don't feel bad about givingaway the spoiler because I might be able to save some of you out therefrom watching. Please save yourself and DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE.
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) This movie was one of the most heart touching movies I have seen in a very long. The characters were so true to real life and every one of the actors gave superb performances. I really loved this movie, and it is one move that I will watch over and over again. This movie will make you think about what your priorities are and might give some people a chance to reevalate their priorities. This is truly a worthwhile film. My hat is off to each and every person who was involved in the production of this movie. A class production that is definitely worth watching.
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) Love this movie! And the way it was a case of art preceeding life, in the movie, Rob Lowe plays a successful author who has just published his first book.
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) A great movie with a poignant theme without nudity, profane language, violence which seems to characterize so many movies in the past few years. It just goes to prove that true love doesn't have to have all those negative themes to make it better. Have a wonderful day.
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) One of Rob Lowe's best movies, heart warming. A classic Family Christmas movie. Recommend for family and friends. A must see
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) I liked this movie a lot. It was well acted and the story was good. I recommend it for all ages to watch-no nudity (thank goodness!) and no vile language (wonderful!).
Robert Harlan (Rob Lowe) is a loving husband and father who is down andout looking for work. His wife Allyson (Paget Brewster) is confident hewill get back on his feet, and she encourages him to resume writing abook he has been working on sporadically for quite some time. Robertdecides to give it a try and he suddenly finds himself in the throes ofsuccess, fame and fortune, with assistance from a literary agent,Camille (Frances Conroy). Ultimately, Robert allows his newfoundsuccess to alter his priorities and compromise his values. This morality tale is darker than some of the others on TV this time ofyear, but that is part of its appeal. I really like this movie. Lowe iscompetent, Brewster's character is completely realistic, andChristopher Lloyd is effective. Worth watching if you happen upon it.
A perfect Day is one of those films that are great for a cool winter evening. Cuddle up on the couch with your family and enjoy the heart warming journey to success and back to valuing what is really important. Rob Lowe, Christopher Lloyd and a well chosen cast bring the Richard Paul Evans novel to life. It's not a Hallmark production, but it is packed with good solid storytelling and performances. Love never goes out of style.Tim Lasiuta
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) Thanks for the fast service. I could not get into this movie. It is a okay movie. But slow I thought!!!!!
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) Not a real exciting movie, doesn't exactly keep you on the edge of your seat. Does have a nice ending, and is okay for the entire family.
This review is from: A Perfect Day (DVD) I liked this movie. It is a good family movie. It doesn't go by the book all the way through but I have given up on hollywood ever going by the book! The acting is good, and the story is good. The book gives soooo many more details that make the story make sense. Read the book first, then watch the movie.A man's dream of a national best seller and his dream comes true. What he does with that sucess is not so good.
for being a made for tv movie (TNT) it think this movie is really good. has a great story, great message, great cast...great addition for any holiday movie collection.
