A group of friends stop to pick up a hitchhiking woman only to end up getting drugged by her with a gas. They awaken to find that vials have been implanted in the base of their skulls - which are of course instantly fatal if they are removed, a grinning professional looking woman informs them on TV screens that they have 22hrs to fill these vials with a specific amount of brain fluid, a fluid that is produced during times of extreme pain. Along with another group of unlucky test subjects and with time ticking away they decide to work together and share the burden of reaching their painful target.

3 couples go to Ireland woods to collect magic mushrooms and trip out. On their way they meet some strange inhabitants of the woods and it doesn't take long until a creepy story is being told at the campfire which might be more than just a story. So strange things happen, people start disappearing, silhouettes move through the woods and the creepy story starts to melt into reality. The horror kicks in along with the effect of the mushrooms.

Newlyweds and Benjamin and Jane Shaw head to Japan where Benjamin has landed a lucrative job as a professional photographer. It's a bit of a homecoming of sorts for him as he had previously lived in Japan and speaks the language fluently. On their first night, Jane hits a young woman who is standing in the middle of the road but neither they nor the police can find any evidence of anyone being hit. Later they see strange streaks of light in photos they've taken and eventually she recognizes the woman she is seeing and realizes that she worked for her husband during his first stay in Japan.
